“How is he?”

“Just as big a pain in he ass as ‘her’ dad.” I pushed my re-hardened cock back into her and she laughed while wrapping her limbs tighter around me. “You’re a very bad little girl aren’t you? Don’t you think you’ve had enough?” I came home for lunch and to check up on her and ended up in her bed for the past three hours. Good thing things were quiet around here these days. No one would miss me.

“You think Law heard anything yet?” I looked around to make sure no one was listening in. Not that I didn’t trust the guys, but I didn’t want this shit getting back to my brother. “You’d know if he had. The sheriff hasn’t been out here yet either so I’m thinking we got away clean.” Let’s hope. I know what hell my brother would rain down on our heads if he knew we went behind his back but it was the least I could do.

Since our parents and baby sister were murdered Law has been a rock. He was the one who came home and took the reins while I was falling apart. He’d done so much, faced down our enemies, and I didn’t want him thinking his little brother was weak. That’s why Travis and I had taken care of those good ole boys who’d been hired to kill him.

Other than my wife and my cousin Travis, Law was all I had left. I won’t let anything happen to him. Won’t let anyone fuck with my family again. “Let’s hope no one comes looking for them or the shit would really hit the fan then.”

“I won’t worry about it, it’s not like they were here to bake cookies and shit. What the hell are they up to now?” I followed his eyes across the yard to where our wives and their pals were trooping towards my house and shook my head.

“Oh well, I guess we had a good run. The last few days have been bliss. Come on, let’s go see what it is this time.” I pushed off the wall and went after them. You’d think with all the walls and security around here we could keep these women on a leash, hah. They got up to about as much shit as we did and most of the time my wife was the one leading the pack.

One more infraction and Law was going to hit the damn roof. Already he was giving me warnings about Melissa and the shit she was getting his wife into. He seemed to think I could rein her in, when he had no more control over his wife than I did mine. I wasn’t going to bring that shit to his attention though. He tends to get testy about shit like that.

“Okay now we have got to take care of this before the men catches on to what we’re up to. Susie you got what we need?” I waited for her nod before turning my attention to Melissa.

“Melissa you…”

“I still don’t think we should be doing this, if Law finds out he’ll have ten fits.” Dana Sue cut me off.

“Girl you know how to handle that man. Just keep him trapped between your legs for a long hard ride and he’ll forget his own name. That’s what I do to Clay whenever he starts poking his damn nose in my shit. I put it on him and he forgets what the hell it was he was mad about to begin with.” The girls laughed and hooted at that one before settling down again.

When I came through this town months ago I never thought I’d find a home here. It was so different to everything I knew. There were no designer shops ten minutes away. No Broadway, no high end restaurants. In fact the town only boasted one diner that had been here since the eighteen hundreds and looked it.

But I’d taken one look at Clayton and none of life’s little comforts meant anything anymore, not if it meant leaving him. I didn’t have any guilt over getting between him and the woman he’d been seeing back then. She wasn’t right for him. Thankfully he’d figured that out himself and chose me.

Now as a bonus I have my girls. They’re not the high society types I was used to. They weren’t like the career-oriented mavens that I’d respected in another life. But they had something else.

As a writer I spend a lot of time studying people and the men and women I’d met here were by far the best. I would lay down my life for my friends, that’s why I was risking Clayton’s wrath by trying to help my girl Illyana with her little problem. Hopefully when the shit comes to light he’ll take it easy on me. The man sure can get testy.
