Grayson tucked a lock of hair behind her ear and kissed her forehead. “If you want moral support I could go with you,” he suggested.
“Would you?”
“Of course, Cupcake. I’d go anywhere with you. All you ever need to do is ask or let Daddy know what you want to do and I’ll take you.”
“Daddy…” she repeated, trying it out in front of him.
His smile split his face. “I love the sound of that.”
“The tattoo owners are a Daddy and a Little,” she whispered.
“Yeah. I go there often enough to have figured that out before they did,” he joked. “I’m glad they’ve finally officially gotten together.”
“I don’t think I’ve built up the nerve to actually get a tattoo today, plus Tatiana is probably booked. But we could stop by and see if she sketched something for me. She said she would.”
“Let’s do it then. No commitment. Just going to look and gather more information.” He leaned in closer. “Only if it’s what you want.”
She nodded slowly. “I think half the reason I’ve always hedged is because I could only picture myself getting a tattoo if a Daddy was with me holding my hand, and I didn’t have one.”
“Well, now you do.” Grayson stood, helped Valerie to her feet, and pulled her in for a tight hug.
Something crinkled between them, and Valerie leaned back a few inches to look down before she remembered the sticker he’d left on her nightstand, the one she’d stuck on her T-shirt and then transferred to the inside of this current shirt earlier this morning.
“What’s that, Cupcake?” he asked.
She pulled the front of her shirt out to reveal the sticker. “Uh oh.”
“What is it?” he prodded.
She tipped her head back so he could see. “I stuck your special birthday sticker inside my shirt this morning so it would be close to me without my parents asking questions at breakfast. It looks like the ink came off on my chest.” She tugged the front of her shirt down farther, revealing the upper swell of her breast above her bra. It was kind of forward, but also unavoidable. He really had to see this.
He laughed. “You definitely gave yourself a tattoo today, Cupcake.”
She peeled the sticker off the inside of her shirt, which left a very sticky spot. “I think I should go change.”
Grayson beamed. “I bet I have something in one of these gifts you could change into.”
Valerie got excited all over again as he leaned over and moved the gifts around, pondering which one to hand her. Finally, he lifted another gift bag. This one was purple with cupcakes all over it. Her Daddy was so thoughtful that he’d even found cupcake wrapping paper and gift bags.
She tugged out the tissue paper before lifting out what she assumed would be a shirt. When she held it up, she squealed.
The shirt was white, but on the front was the perfect pink cupcake with a candle in it. It looked almost exactly like the Birthday Cake cupcakes he’d brought her. It even said birthday girl on it.
“I love it.” She threw her arms around Grayson again.
He chuckled as he rubbed her back. “If you’re going to hug me like this every time you open another package, I’m going to bring you gifts every day for the rest of your life.”
She giggled as she stood back. “That’s silly.”
“Not to me.” He took the shirt from her and tucked it under his arm before reaching for the hem of her current shirt. “Arms up, Cupcake.”
She hesitated. He hadn’t seen her naked yet, though most nights she’d gone to bed wishing he would take things to the next level. Still… This was the light of day. She felt a bit self-conscious and nervous. What if he didn’t like what he saw?
Granted, he wasn’t really going to see much. She wouldn’t be naked. He wouldn’t even see anything but her bra and her tummy. People went to public pools with bikinis smaller than her bra.
Grayson released the bottom of her shirt and tipped her chin back with one finger. “Would you rather go change in your room, Little girl? I don’t want you to feel like I’m rushing you.”
She shook her head. “No. I want you to do it, Daddy.” She needed to be brave, and she really wanted him to be her Daddy. In fact, she’d put this bra and the matching panties on this morning secretly hoping he might see them tonight.
“You can always tell Daddy to slow down at any time. I know we’ve kissed a few times, but we don’t have to take the next step until you’re ready.”
She felt herself slide into a Littler headspace than she’d ever felt in front of someone else as she said, “Please change my shirt, Daddy.”
Grayson pulled it over her head and tossed it on the couch. Instead of immediately lowering the new one onto her, he paused. He set one hand on her hip and trailed a finger of his other hand down her cheek and lower between her breasts, stopping at the V of her bra.
