Her breath caught as he moved inside her, cock and probing finger gliding together to stroke in and out.

A scream careened from her lungs when an orgasm crashed over her. Lark could only submit and let him do whatever he wished as her fingers curled against the paint decorating the wall. Her knees weakened as a second wave of pleasure buffeted her body, but Wyatt supported Lark on his forearm. He removed his finger to loop his other hand under her stomach.

Lifting her, Wyatt carried her, still impaled on his cock, to the crib. Gently laying her torso on the mattress, he released his hold on her body to draw his finger through the slick juices coating her thighs. The touch of his fingertip against that puckered opening made her moan.

“Who’s in charge, Little girl?”

“Daddy!” she cried and felt that finger demand entrance once again as he claimed mastery of her body.

This time, Wyatt allowed himself to climax with her. His body rested over her, supported by his forearms on the mattress as their breath quieted.

Withdrawing from her body, her Daddy lifted her into the crib. After restoring his jeans around his hips and zipping them closed, Wyatt cleaned his fingers on a wipe, retrieved a diaper, and secured it around her hips. He climbed into the crib, gathering her against his chest.

“Daddy, you’re too big for my crib,” Lark protested.

“Daddy makes the rules,” he corrected her before kissing her forehead and closing his eyes.

Immediately, she squeezed hers shut as well. Pressed against her Daddy’s warmth, Lark savored his dominance in the small bonus room, fragrant with their lovemaking.

Thank goodness for Little Cakes. Ellie’s bakery had concocted a perfect match for her with the stern police officer. With a smile curving her lips, she fell asleep in his arms.

Epilogue

Two weeks later…

Lark stood in the open front doorway of her home, staring at the emptiness. “I’ll miss you,” she murmured into the hollow living room. This was a huge step. She was moving in with her Daddy. She loved his home. After all, she’d helped pick it out, and he’d included her every step of the way for each decision he’d made.

She knew he’d wanted her to feel like the house was hers too because he’d already had her in mind when he’d bought it. And she was grateful. She loved that house. She loved the blue room he put so much time and effort into. She loved him.

Riley came in from one of the back rooms carrying a box. “I found one more box we forgot to bring out when I was walking through,” she announced. Her expression sobered though when she saw Lark’s face.

Riley set the box down and pulled her friend in for a hug. “It’s scary doing new things, isn’t it?”

Lark nodded, not wanting to cry but grateful her friend understood what she was feeling. She was also glad the men were out front, making the last few items fit into the moving truck in a game of Tetris. It gave her these few moments to reminisce.

“Do you love him?” Riley asked.

“So much.” Lark smiled and shook away the sad feelings. She glanced over her shoulder to find Milo turned their direction, watching them in the doorway. “Is something going on between you and Milo?” she asked Riley.

Riley’s cheeks reddened and she shook her head. “No. Of course not.”

Lark frowned. “Why not? I mean, I see you looking at him, and he stares at you too. What’s holding you back?”

Riley shrugged. “I’m just not…right for him. That’s all.” She lifted her arm out and pushed up her sleeve, changing the subject. “Did I tell you I’m thinking about getting a new tattoo?”

Lark let her friend take their conversation in this new direction even though she suspected there was a story behind Riley’s reluctance to entertain the idea of dating Milo. She shook her head. “No. Are you planning to add one to your arm?”

Riley pointed at a blank spot. “Maybe here. I’m not sure. Possibly on my back. I’m saving up for it though.”

Lark didn’t have any tattoos, but she knew her friend saw them as a way to express herself, and she supported her. The tattoos were stunning. Whoever designed them was an amazing artist.

Lark smiled at her friend. “Whatever you choose, I’m sure it will be magical. All your tattoos are spectacular.”

Riley hugged her friend again. “Thank you. That means a lot to me. I know it’s not for everyone, but there’s just something about the sting of a tattoo gun pushing colorful ink into my skin while I sit on the leather chair under the bright white lights. The hurt is so good. It’s addictive.”

Riley sighed contentedly, making Lark hug her tighter. Lark felt much better now. With one last glance into her empty home, she turned around to face her future.
