I felt my cheeks heat again, and Ryan took my hand in his.

Kicking off my heels, I let out a groan as I headed toward my room. I needed to get out of this form-fitting dress and into something with an elastic waist. “I’m so full, I feel like I’m going to pop!”

Ryan nodded. “I could have gone without dessert, but when Bradford showed us that crème brûlée, I knew I was a goner.”

“I thought for sure Blayze was going to throw up when we finally left.”

Ryan laughed and took off his jacket.

“Bradford and Savannah are really nice,” I said.

“They are.” He pulled his tie loose. “Maybe we can try and get together sometime. They’re both always so busy, but I do know Savannah loves to hike and camp. Bradford, though…his idea of camping is at a five-star hotel with endless amounts of bread and cheese.”

It was my turn to laugh. “I had an amazing night. It was exactly what I needed.”

Ryan smiled, and I felt my heart jump in my chest. Then he slowly moved toward me, and my breathing picked up. I wasn’t entirely sure why I was so nervous. No, that was a lie. The very idea of being with Ryan caused me to go breathless as my heart hammered in my chest.

“Are we moving too fast?” he asked softly, coming to a stop only inches away.

All I could do was shake my head.

Lifting his hand, Ryan wrapped a lock of my hair around his finger. “God, your hair is so soft.” He let out a sigh. “I can’t tell you how many times I’ve wanted to touch it to see if it’s as soft as it looks.”

Okay, why was that so freaking hot?

I swallowed and placed my hand on his chest. The feel of his heart pounding made me realize he was as nervous as I was. My eyes moved up and met his. “I want this more than anything, Ryan.”

His eyes grew darker, and I could instantly tell he wanted it just as much.

Cupping my face with his hands, Ryan leaned in and kissed me. The kiss caused an explosion of feelings even before he deepened it. When he did, I had to grab onto his arms to keep my body from swaying.

Tearing his mouth from mine, he placed soft kisses along my jaw, then down my neck.

“Ryan,” I gasped as his hands lowered, one cupping my breast through the dress. “Yes. Oh God, yes!”

He yanked my body flush against his, and I felt his desire press into my stomach. I had never wanted anyone as much as I wanted this man.

“Bedroom,” I whispered, and Ryan reached down and lifted me into his arms. He practically sprinted into the bedroom, but once there, he gently placed me back down.

He ran his finger along my neck as he stared at a spot below my ear. “Your heart is beating as fast as a hummingbird’s wings.”

All I could do was be honest with him. “I’ve never felt this way before…about anyone.”

His eyes snapped up to meet mine. I could see so much emotion in those caramel eyes of his. Want. Passion. And something I was afraid to label because I so badly wanted it to be true.

“Neither have I, sweetheart.”

My heart couldn’t possibly beat any harder. I saw Ryan’s chest rise and fall, and there was something wonderful about knowing that I made him feel as crazy as he made me.

“Turn around, Morgan. I want to see what presents are under this dress.”

I smiled and did as he said. Tingles raced across my body when I felt his fingers start to undo the back of my dress. And, good Lord, when he softly kissed my shoulder, I jumped and let out a giggle.

“Are you ticklish?”

With a shake of my head, I whispered, “No. But when you touch me like that, it feels…” My voice trailed off.

He placed another kiss on my skin, then another, letting the bodice of my dress fall to my waist. “It feels like what?”

“I don’t know how to explain it. It feels like a jolt of delicious electricity. Like a million emotions rolled up into one amazing feeling.”

He moved his fingers softly over my skin as he unclasped my strapless bra, allowing it to fall to the floor. I leaned against his back, and when his hands came around and cupped my breasts, I moaned.

“Jesus, Morgan,” he whispered as he played with my nipples and nestled his face into my neck.

“That feels so good,” I panted. “I need more, Ryan. Please…I need more.”

Suddenly, my dress was pooled at my feet, and Ryan was letting out another long moan that seemed to go straight to the core of my stomach as it tightened with desire.

I drew in a deep breath and turned to face him. I was completely naked—and about to give my heart and soul, as well as my body, to my lifelong crush.
