“Okay, yeah.” She got it.

“But we’re all in with you. And eventually, we want you to be completely in too. Understand?”

She thought so. Eventually, they’d want to know all of her. And have all of her. And she’d have the same from them. But if there were things she couldn’t tell them right now, as long as they weren’t a risk to her, she could keep them to herself.

Shoot. She was learning to speak alpha male. That was scary.

There wasn’t much she was holding back anymore, but she wasn’t positive she could say the same for them.

“Food is ready,” Grady told them. “I’ll get coffee.”

“Let’s get you over to the table.” Steele lifted her off the counter, cradling her against his chest.

“I can walk.”

“I like to carry you. And I’m used to getting what I want. So expect me to carry you a lot.”

“Anyone ever tell you that you’re very arrogant?”

“Sure, they didn’t live long, though.”

“What?” she asked.

He sat in a chair with her in his lap. “Joking, baby girl.”

Jeez.

“I can also sit on my own chair.”

“Hmm. I don’t know. I was thinking that you might need a high chair. So you’ll stay where you’re put.”

“W-what?” She stumbled over the word as Grady put a huge plate of eggs, toast, and avocado slices on the table. Whoa. That wasn’t all for her, right?

He went back to the kitchen and returned with three mugs of coffee.

Then he sat in the chair next to them. “Agreed.”

Her eyes widened. “I didn’t think you were a Daddy Dom, Grady?”

“I’ve never had much to do with Littles beyond spending time with Millie. That’s Spike’s Little. Spike is Steele’s brother-in-law. I didn’t think I had it in me to give a Little what they needed. My nurturing side is a bit . . . stunted. Growing up, my parents didn’t show me or each other affection. I’ve learned to fake it over the years with others. With you, I don’t want to do that anymore.”

She sucked in a breath, not knowing what to say.

“I might pretend with others, but I won’t with you. I’ll give you all of me and hope that’s enough.”

“It will be more than enough.”

His face softened. “So sweet. I didn’t think we were good enough for you. I still don’t. But you are ours. If sweet lands in your life, you grab hold and do whatever is necessary to protect it.”

There was her fierce Grady. Mostly, he gave off a refined air. But there was a definite edge to him. Something that told her it would be dangerous to mess with him or come between him and something he wanted.

“So I agree you need a high chair,” Grady said.

“I don’t!” She leaned forward, nearly falling into his lap. Steele had to tighten his hold on her to keep her pressed against him.

“You nearly fell off your chair,” Grady pointed out.

“I did not. I just leaned over too far.”

“Uh-huh.” Grady picked up the knife and fork and started cutting up her food.

She gaped at him. No one had ever cut up her food that she could remember. Maybe when she was very young.

Then Grady held some up to his mouth and blew on it before pressing it to his lips. “Perfect. Open up.”

“I . . . you . . . you don’t have to feed me.”

“But I want to.” It was said simply, without arrogance. As though he knew he would get exactly what he wanted.

Whoa. These guys were something else.

“Do you want me to do choo-choo noises?” Grady asked.

“No!” She squirmed.

“I think that might be a lie,” Steele said. “Bad baby. We might need to punish you for lying.”

“It’s not a lie! Grady doesn’t have to do them!”

“That’s not the same as not wanting them,” Grady pointed out.

“I don’t want you to do anything you’re not comfortable with.”

“A bit of knowledge for you,” Grady replied. “I very rarely do anything I don’t want to do. Now, open up for the choo-choo train.”

“That’s a good girl,” Steele praised as she ate the mouthful. “What a good girl you’re being for Daddy.”

She flushed with pride even though she hadn’t done anything remarkable. Damn, these scrambled eggs were good though. She reached out for her coffee mug, but Grady lightly slapped her hand away, then he held the cup up to her lips. Wow. It was perfect. He’d remembered from the diner yesterday how she liked her coffee?

Of course he had. Grady had a definite eye for detail. While Steele seemed like the big picture guy. Together . . . they were a fine-tuned machine.

She just hoped she kept that machine running smoothly, rather than putting a cog in it.

“What’s wrong, baby?” Steele asked. “You’ve gone all stiff.”

“I just . . . don’t want to do anything to ruin this. Us. Or the two of you. Please don’t let me do that.”
