“Oh!” she gasped in surprise as she quickly flushed the toilet. She hadn’t felt self-conscious of her nudity until that moment. Somehow, that seemed so intimate.

“You are adorable, Cindy girl. You’ll soon get used to my presence everywhere. There are no secrets between a Daddy and his Little. Nor are there any closed or locked doors,” he warned.

“I don’t get any privacy?” she retorted before thinking.

“If you need private time for your mental health, we’ll discuss whatever is bothering you. If you are hiding from your Daddy because of embarrassment or poor choices, then we need to address that. I will know every delicious inch of you. Daddies take care of their Littles intimately.”

“I know,” she whispered, regretting her snapped response.

“That’s a good thing, Cindy girl. I know you’re shy and not used to having a Daddy. I won’t push you to make a billion changes at first, but this is important. No closed doors. No locked doors. I need to be able to check on you.”

“Okay. I understand.”

“Good girl,” he praised her before rewarding her with a kiss and stepping away.

Cynthia really wanted to ask if the same rules applied to him. Instead, she clamped her jaw closed so the question didn’t burst from her lips. She watched him walk toward the toilet and she spun around. Not wishing him to think she was a prude and fleeing the room, Cynthia went to the sink and leaned over to wash her face carefully. Curiosity flooded her brain as she heard him. She’d never seen a man use the toilet. Steadfastly, she forced herself not to look and buried her face in the towel to dry her flaming cheeks.

The flush of the toilet and the slide of the clear-glass shower door assured her it was safe to look. Peeking over the terrycloth, Cynthia could see Dirk under the spray of the water. He tilted his head back to submerge his hair as she devoured his masculine form. She loved the pure physical beauty of how his body was put together—broad shoulders, muscular arms, lean waist, and powerful hips and thighs. Cynthia pinched herself to make sure she was really here. That he had chosen her to take care of.

“Easton Edgewater asked him to represent you,” that voice in the back of her head reminded her.

“Representing me is not inviting me to his house and making love to me,” she muttered aloud to dispel that negative thought.

“I didn’t hear you, sweetheart. Are you okay?” Dirk called over the spray of the water.

“Sorry, Daddy. I was just talking to myself,” she answered honestly. Automatically, she looked over at the shower to talk to him.

The transparent barrier had become cloudy from the heat of the water. She couldn’t see him clearly until he swiped a hand across the fogged surface. Smiling at him to let her Daddy know she was okay, Cynthia struggled to keep her eyes on him. That clear path he’d cleared uncovered a lot of mesmerizing territory.

“Go grab a T-shirt from my dresser. There should be some in the third drawer of the tall one,” he instructed.

Seizing the distraction, Cynthia followed his instructions and pulled out a large red shirt with a dragon on it and Chinese lettering. Surprised to find such a gaudy item in his drawer, Cynthia pulled it over her head and smoothed the soft fabric over her hips. She turned this way and that to see the silver lettering shimmer in the morning light.

Cynthia pushed away the temptation of looking through the other drawers. She wouldn’t like anyone doing that to her things. “But Dirk will go through your possessions to bring you things from your apartment,” that voice in the back of her head reminded her.

“That’s different,” Cynthia said aloud to counter that thought.

“What’s different, sweetheart?” Dirk asked, walking into the bedroom with a damp towel wrapped around his waist that concealed and revealed so much as it clung to his body.

Tell him? Don’t tell him? Cynthia debated mentally.

“Can I give you a list of what to bring from my apartment? I don’t need a bunch of clothes. Or do I need to get everything out of there now?” she asked.

“Yes and no,” Dirk said, answering her two questions.

She had to replay what she’d just asked in her mind to understand his responses. As Cynthia decoded his answer, Dirk grabbed his phone off the charger and opened it with facial recognition. He swiped through a couple of screens and touched one app to open it.

“Let’s start a new note. You can jot down anything you want me to bring home tonight. Take pity on an old man and give me some clues as to where I can find everything.”

Dirk spread the covers up neatly and gestured for her to take a seat on the bed. As she made herself comfortable, he collected Bullyboo from the nightstand and set the stuffie next to her on the bed. “He can help you decide what you need. Bullyboo, make her write a lot of clothes, underwear, and shoes. Also, any personal or special items she needs, even those embarrassing ones. Daddies don’t care. They just want to care for their Littles.”
