I moan, my head falling back as I lift up and drop down, eager to obey. Unable to stop myself from obeying. All day long, I’ve given him exactly what he wants. I lost track hours ago of how many times he’s been inside me.

He’s on a mission to get me pregnant, and I’m not about to stop him. I feel like I’m living a fairytale. Only, this is real life. I’m really here right now, with Lachlan’s ring on my finger as he thrusts into me.

“Goddamn, you take me so well, baby,” he groans, slipping his free hand between us to play with my clit.

“Lachlan,” I sob, my inner walls fluttering around his hard cock. “I’m going to—”

"I'm home!" a girl—Lyric—shouts two seconds before the front door closes. "Where are you?"

I gasp, clawing at Lachlan’s shoulders as my soul leaves my body.

"Shit," he growls grabbing for me as I nearly tumble off his lap. "Don't come in here!"

My freaking heart stops as his sister immediately appears in the doorway to the living room, not even giving us time to cover up.

“Oh my gosh!” she cries, gaping in shock at the two of us, naked and wrapped around each other on the sofa.

Lachlan immediately tries to cover me up, but it’s way too late for that. There’s no hiding what we’ve been doing.

I want to disappear through the floorboards as Sinclair steps into the room behind Lyric. He takes one look at the situation, his eyes going wide.

"Fuck," he growls, hooking an arm around Lyric’s waist to drag her back out into the foyer.

"He's naked," Lyric whisper-shouts from the other side of the doorway.

"I noticed," Sinclair murmurs wryly.

"He's with a woman."

My cheeks blaze with heat. This is not how I wanted to meet Lachlan’s sister! She’s going to hate me.

"Noticed that too," Sinclair says.

I whimper miserably.

“Are you okay, baby?” Lachlan asks, brushing a hand down my arm before he lifts us to our feet.

“No,” I whisper, standing numbly as he quickly starts dressing us. I don’t even help him. I just stand in shock while he does all the work. “Your sister and your business partner just saw me naked.”

“They saw me naked too.”

I glare at him because he’s really not helping. This is all his fault. I’m not sure how, but it is.

"Are you decent?" Lyric shouts to us.

"Give us a minute," Lachlan calls before turning back to me. “It’ll be okay, pretty baby. Trust me.”

Trust him? He’s the reason we’re in this mess!

"I'm so embarrassed," I hiss at him as he slips his undershirt over my head. He tore my shirt so I can’t wear it. "I'm never talking to you again!"

"Yeah, you are, pretty baby." He yanks his pants on and then leans down, brushing his lips across mine in a hard kiss. “You love me, remember?”

I narrow my eyes at him, which makes him smile at me. He brushes his thumb across my bottom lip and then pulls me down onto his lap.

“Breathe, Caitlin,” he whispers in my ear before raising his voice to let his sister and Sinclair know we’re decent.

Lyric practically drags Sinclair back into the living room. I hide behind my hair, too mortified to face them.

"Hi," Lyric says, waving like she didn’t just catch us having sex on her couch. "I'm Lyric, Lachlan's sister. I'm sorry we just burst in on you. It's Lachlan's fault. He didn't tell me that he was bringing anyone over."

I knew it was his fault!

I glower at Lachlan.

He scowls at her.

She smirks at him.

"Um, hi," I squeak, my heart beating a thousand miles a minute. "It's nice to meet you."

"Why are you here?" Lachlan demands suddenly, narrowing his eyes at Sinclair. And then his gaze drifts to his sister. "And why has your phone been off all day?"

He tried to call her a few times to find out where she was before giving up. He assumed she was with Sinclair, but now he seems suspicious because she’s with Sinclair.

Uh oh.

"She's been with me," Sinclair says.

Lachlan's scowl darkens. "She's been with you?"

"We came to get her stuff," Sinclair says quietly. "She's spending the night at my place."

Lachlan stares at the two of them in complete silence. He doesn't move a muscle. He doesn't even twitch. He just stares.

I place my hand on his arm, sending up a silent prayer that he doesn’t flip out. I don’t even have to ask to know it’ll break his sister’s heart. The truth is written all over her face. She’s in love with his best friend.

"Please say something," she finally pleads.

"How long?" he asks, his voice deathly quiet.

"How long have I been in love with your sister?" Sinclair asks him in her place. "Since I met her. How long since I decided that she was it for me? Just as long. How long has she known? I told her today."
