“Guess you’re right, little girl,” he said reluctantly. “Though I fucking hate to stop—you have the softest, sweetest pussy and I love making you come.”

“We…we’re partners,” she whispered, shifting against him. “We really shouldn’t have done this.”

“You’re right, but I had to help you,” Dra’vik reminded her. “You feeling better now?”

“Yes, much. Um…” She shifted her hips, as though to remind him that his fingers were still buried to the hilt in her soft little honey well.

Reluctantly, Dra’vik withdrew them and sucked them into his mouth. Gods, she tasted so damn good!

“Love the taste of your pussy honey, little girl,” he informed her after he finished cleaning his fingers. “Fucking delicious.”

“You…you really shouldn’t talk like that,” she whispered breathlessly.

“Guess I shouldn’t call you my ‘good girl’ either, should I?” Dra’vik murmured in her ear. A shutter ran through her entire body and a soft moan escaped her lips.

“No, please don’t.” Her voice was low and filled with passion.

“Now why is it when you say, ‘no please don’t’ all I hear is ‘yes, please fucking do’?” Dra’vik asked her. “What is it about those words? Why do they do it for you?”

“I…I don’t know,” she whispered, avoiding his eyes as she rearranged the triangular magnetic patch, covering her luscious pussy. “It’s just…it has to do with the D/s scene, that’s all.”

“D/s?” Dra’vik frowned in confusion. “What’s that?”

“Domination and submission,” she explained. “It’s a kind of sexual power exchange where one person plays the Dominant and the other one is the submissive and er, submits to them.”

“Mmm-hmm,” Dra’vik hummed thoughtfully. “So tell me, do you like being the dominant one or the submissive one?”

“You have to ask?” she murmured and he felt another shiver run through her.

“Hey, this really does it for you, doesn’t it, little girl?” Dra’vik growled in surprise. “It really gets you hot. How often have you done this Domination and submission thing?”

“Never,” she admitted and he thought he heard regret in her voice.

“Never? Why not—were you ashamed?”

“No!” she said a bit too quickly, Dra’vik thought and there was a note of defensiveness in her voice again. “Why should I be?” she added, tilting her chin up to glare up at him.

“Don’t know,” he said mildly. “I thought maybe your people considered it deviant to submit yourself sexually to another’s will. To allow him to dominate you,” he emphasized and saw her bite her lip and look down again.

“Well…some people still consider it deviant,” she admitted in a softer tone. “My ex, Ian, for example.”

“The same one that didn’t want you moaning too loud when you came?” Dra’vik asked.

She sighed and looked down at her hands.

“Yeah, that’s him. He just…didn’t like public displays of affection.”

“Or private ones either, I’m guessing,” Dra’vik rumbled. “Why did you stay with him if he didn’t fulfill you sexually?”

“I never said he didn’t fulfill me!” Iyanna protested, tilting her chin to look up at him again.

“You didn’t fucking have to,” Dra’vik growled. “He wasn’t willing to give you your greatest sexual fantasy—the one that makes you tremble all over and come so hard your toes curl. Tell me something—did he ever call you his ‘good girl’ even once?”

He felt her shiver against him again but she refused to meet his eyes.

“Ian…just wasn’t into that,” she protested softly.

“What? Into giving the gorgeous Elite he was lucky enough to have, sexual satisfaction? What kind of an idiot was he, anyway? Are all human males that stupid?” Dra’vik demanded.

Iyanna shifted restlessly against him.

“Look, we ought to stop talking about this. I can’t even believe I told you about D/s and Ian and all the rest of it in the first place. We barely know each other.”

“We know each other a hell of a lot better than we did before this flight started,” Dra’vik pointed out. “Besides, if we’re going to pretend to be Joined—or ‘married’ as you humans call it—we need to know at least a little about each other’s lives.”

“What about you, then?” she asked unexpectedly, looking up at him again. “You know all about my ex and my, er, fantasies, but I don’t know a damn thing about you except that you live on the Dark Side of the Monstrum Mother Ship and you’re a grumpy-ass son of a bitch.”

Dra’vik frowned down at her.

“Maybe I have a good reason to be ‘grumpy,’ little girl.”

“So tell me about it,” she urged. “Why do you live over on the Dark Side when it’s clear you prefer the light? And don’t give me that bullshit about hiding yourself from humans because you’re so ‘scary,’” she added. “I’m not scared of you.”

“Yes, but you’re one of the most courageous people I’ve ever met,” Dra’vik told her seriously.

“Well…thank you.” She looked surprised. “But I still don’t think you’re staying on the Dark Side just to benefit your fellow Monstrum.”

Dra’vik sighed.

“Maybe you’re right,” he admitted, both to her and himself. “Maybe I stay on the Dark Side, out of sight, because it keeps me from seeing the human brides that are beginning to invade the Mother Ship as they mate with other Monstrum warriors. It keeps me from wanting what I can’t have.”
