“A shower would be good.”
Aiden grins at Jenn. “Maybe we should take a shower, too, babe.”
She laughs. “Oh, now he’s willing to wash off the horse smell.”
“After six years of marriage, I’d wash off my own skin for a blow job,” he mutters.
“I’ll remember that later.”
He makes a heart shape with his hands. She shakes her head but can’t keep from smiling.
I stand up, surprising Josie by scooping her into my arms as I do.
“I guess we’re going right now,” she says.
“Damn right.” I look around at the faces in the room, smirking. “Don’t wait up, kids.”
“You’re making dinner,” Tate calls as we leave the room. “We want to eat before midnight!”
Josie wraps an arm around my neck, still holding her glass of wine.
“Are you having fun?” I ask her.
“Are you kidding? I’m having an amazing time. How about you?”
I kiss her. “I’m with you. That’s all I need.”
“God, I love you.”
“Love you too, babe.”
I carry her upstairs then, relishing every minute of our first vacation together. It’s one of many firsts, and I can’t wait to experience all of them with the woman of my dreams.
