“Quite a contrast here,” I say, still laughing.

“We think you’ll look great in both outfits,” Chase says.

“Even though you look best in nothing at all,” Diesel adds.

“Want me to model this?” I ask, holding up the lingerie. I can’t believe how bold I’ve become when I’m with them.

“Hmm …” Maddox says, pretending to think. “Is the sky blue?”

“Does Barnes like belly rubs?” Diesel asks rhetorically.

“I’ll be right back,” I say, taking the little slip of fabric into the bathroom with me.

After undressing, I’m nervous when I first start to put their gift on, afraid it might be too small. Whenever anyone has ever given me clothing, that’s often been a problem. But it turns out to fit nicely, if even a little too big. Rather than pulling tightly across my body, there’s some give, and I can breathe just fine. The cups at the top are sheer, and my nipples are completely visible. There’s a narrow velvet strap running around the waist, and when I step back to try to get a better look in the mirror, I like what I see.

My hair is still up from the daytime, so I take it out of the tie, finger comb through it, and arrange it on my shoulders before sauntering back out to where the men are waiting. Four sets of eyes take in my every step as soon as I come into view. Maddox whistles his appreciation as all of the brothers feast their eyes on my curves.

“Making myself a note to order one in every color for you tomorrow,” Diesel says, biting his bottom lip.

“You like it?” I ask, suddenly feeling shy again.

“Fuck, Jade. Are you kidding?” Chase says. “Get over here.” I’m standing a couple of feet away. He reaches for me, and pulls me down onto his lap, burying his face in my cleavage.

“I was going to do a little dance for you,” I say, giggling.

“Maybe later,” Chase says. “You’re busy now.”

I don’t have a chance to try on the new sweatsuit until the next day, because the four men do indeed keep me busy — all night long.

It’s not common for my parents to come to the bakery, but they do stop by on occasion, maybe about once a month or every other month. My mother doesn’t completely approve of my job, with too much temptation being the reason for her objection. I used to work at a flower shop, and she thought that was much more suitable for me.

It’s mid-morning and just past mid-November when they come in one day.

“Hello, dear, how are you?” Mom asks when I finish serving another customer.

“I’m good. How are you?”

Instead of answering, she says, “Your cheeks look a little too pink. Are you hot?”

I wasn’t, but my cheeks heat at her question. She’s probably seeing what I would describe as a rosy glow, and my face has been looking that way ever since I started having regular sex with the four Stanton brothers.

“I’m fine,” I say. “What brings you in today?”

“We’re going to the Josephsons’ house tonight and I wanted to bring some cookies,” Mom says.

“You should have baked some,” Dad says, scanning the display case.

Mom gives him a dismissive look and shakes her head. “I told you I won’t have time to bake anything because I have a book club meeting this afternoon.”

“What kind of cookies would you like?” I keep my tone bright, hoping to distract them from a potential disagreement.

Mom starts asking questions about the different varieties in the case, and as I’m answering her questions, the bell on the door chimes. I look up, expecting to greet the newly arriving customers, but I freeze when I see who’s coming in.

Chase, Dodge, Diesel, and Maddox file into the bakery, grinning broadly, and I force a smile in response, though I’m not sure my facial muscles are cooperating. Thankfully, they hang back, as they always do if I’m waiting on other customers.

“Jade?” It’s Mom, sounding slightly irritated.

“What was that?” I ask.

“I said, what kind of filling is in these?”

I bend down to see where she’s pointing, and I won’t be surprised if my cheeks are now as red as the fruit she’s asking about. “Those are raspberry,” I say, straightening, keeping my eyes fixed on my mom. My heartbeat feels like it must be visible through both my shirt and apron.

“Eww, no. You know I don’t like raspberry. How about these chocolate ones? Are they any good?”

“They’re all good,” I say with some impatience. I’d usually suggest an assortment, but with my mom, that would just complicate things, and I’m hoping to get her and my dad to leave as soon as possible, now that the Stanton brothers are in the shop.

“Don’t tell me you’ve tried everything?” Mom says, sounding somewhat horrified.

“No, I haven’t, but customers offer a lot of feedback, so I know it’s all good,” I say.
