“I do want you. I just like guys too. You knew that, so you can’t act like a little bitch when I want to play. I’m including you. It’s not like I’m going out and fucking an entire football team behind your back, for fuck’s sake.”

“You invited him without asking me first, you slut-bag. That’s why I’m pissed. If we’re in a relationship—” Dawn stops talking when she looks up and sees a naked-below-the-waist Liam pointing a gun at her and Glenna. “What in the fuck are you doing here?” she snarls.

Hate comes off of her in waves. Dawn has never been one of Liam’s biggest fans either. That only got worse when I came home, grieving while waiting for Liam to call—only to never hear from him.

“Ding-fucking-Dong. Meat Show alert,” Glenna literally purrs. I grab Liam’s cut and put it on, covering my breasts. I reach down, getting my panties. I put them on so quick that I am almost dizzy. “Fuck. Do you see, Dawn? That’s what we’re missing. It has to be at least twelve inches…or more.”

“If I wanted dick, I wouldn’t have tossed Colin aside for you,” Dawn huffs. I go and stand in front of my man, because I don’t want anyone seeing Liam’s dick but me. “What the hell are you doing here, Ape Hanger?” Dawn snarls.

I can feel Liam’s body tighten with anger behind me. Because my sister never liked Liam, she insisted on calling him that to make fun of the bike he was riding the first time she met him.

“Ape Hanger? Shit. He’s more like the Bone Ranger and suddenly I want to be Tonto,” Glenna chimes in.

“Ice,” Liam mutters, his free hand coming down on my shoulder. I can hear his annoyance, but it’s nothing compared to mine.

I’m going to kill Dawn…

Ellie

“Where’s Shit-For-Brains?”

“Dawn, will you stop?”

“Ellie, will you grow a brain? What are you doing letting that asshole near you again? Didn’t you learn the first time he broke your heart?” Dawn snaps and I sigh. I knew this wasn’t going to go easy. It’s one of the reasons I purposely didn’t tell her or Mom that I was talking to Liam again. Dawn might be older than me by a few years, but most times she acts like she’s thirteen and never going to grow up.

“I left him, remember?”

“Because you didn’t have a choice. You always were so weak when it came to that shit. You have to be strong. This world doesn’t owe you anything and the last thing you should ever do is let people run over you.”

“I’m not weak. I had choices,” I mumble, because I did and I’m starting to think I made the wrong one.

“Whatever. You always let people run over you. Besides, you wouldn’t tell me why you left—”

“That’s because it was no one’s business. It was between me and Liam, no one else,” I insist, stubbornly. It was really between the club and Liam, but even though I was upset with the things that Liam was put in charge of, I would never betray his confidence in me.

“You say that, but it was me and Mom who put you back together and helped you stand after he left you miserable.”

“He didn’t leave me!” I yell. “I left and I’m starting to think maybe I shouldn’t have. I think maybe I made a mistake, Dawn.”

“You’re just saying that because you want laid. I’m so sick of women who can’t even think straight when they get near a man’s dick. What is so great about those damn things, anyway? They’re ugly as hell. They look like a mushroom that was outside during a nuclear explosion.”

“Will you give it a rest? Would you like to know what I think about vaginas? Even the name alone is gross,” I respond and get instantly rewarded with what I like to call her scrunched-up-bitch-face.

“You need to kick his ass to the curb.”

“My relationship with Liam is my business. Lay off of him. We have problems, but we’re trying and I may not know a lot, but I know that Liam is the only man I’ll ever love.”

“Whatever,” she sighs and I notice she’s staring at the stairs and looking unsure of herself. I’m not used to that from Dawn. Hell, most of the time she scares me. Dawn is headstrong, loud and stubborn. She never backs down and there’s always a seething anger inside of her. Mom has traces of it, but Dawn is definitely more extreme.

I follow her gaze up the stairs. Glenna went up there to the guest bedroom not long after they got here. Liam is upstairs in my bed, giving me time with my sister. He kissed me good night and gave Dawn a goodbye that sounded more like an undistinguishable grunt. He should probably get sainthood for that, considering how she acts towards him and exactly what Dawn interrupted.
