“Yes. God. Instant heat.”

My mind goes straight to her heat. What I wouldn’t give to be deep between her perfect thighs.

“Whoever invented the sauna should receive the Nobel Prize.” She closes her eyes and hums. “This might be the greatest benefit to humankind.”

She’s the greatest benefit to mankind. I feel like I won the damn lottery.

Christ, I’ve got it bad.

I should be thinking about how we’ll feed her and keep her safe through the winter. Instead, all I can focus on is when I’m going to get inside her pussy again.

Splashing water on the coal, I soak in the hot steam and turn to her.

Holding my gaze, she slides off her snow-soaked pants and socks. Her sweatshirt follows. Then her bra. Her underwear.

I wave away the vapor so I can look at her, savor her in all her bare glory.

Color returns to her face, painting her cheeks in a soft pink glow. Pink like her nipples, pointing to the heavens, begging to be sucked.

The delicate shape of her never ceases to amaze me. How can she look so fragile yet be so strong? She can fight. She can run. She can kill a wolf with a knife.

And she can take a cock like a vicious little succubus.

Her hand glides up my thigh.

Fuck, I’m hard for her.

Her fingers latch onto me through my jeans, tracing my length with a boldness that makes me leak.

I’m fucking leaking for her, and she goes straight to the wet spot, rubbing it with a smile in her impish eyes.

“We’ll have company in ten minutes.” What am I saying? I don’t fucking care.

“We only need five.” She sighs. “But we can’t risk it. If they walked in on us, it would be insensitive. Especially to Wolf.”

The selfish part of me wants to resent her affection for my brothers. But I don’t. I can’t. Her heart is so big she has room for all of us in there. One of her greatest gifts is the love she gives to those I call my own.

Lying back on the bench, I motion for her to join me. With a smile, she drapes her tiny body over me, snuggling in, chest to chest, her face buried in my neck.

With the sauna at just the right temperature and a heavy cloak of hot mist covering our skin, it’s the perfect environment to fall asleep. Frankie is out the moment her head hits my shoulder.

I’m content to hold her and listen to the sound of snow hitting the roof. A sound I didn’t know existed until her.

I don’t bother to move when footfalls approach the door. I’d recognize that gait anywhere.

Kody appears through the fog of steam and spreads a towel over her nude backside.

“Smells like sex.” Wolf shuts the door behind them. “Feels like sandpaper.”

Without looking at me or the drowsy beauty in my arms, Wolf strips to his boxers and climbs to the highest bench in the back.

“Hey.” She blinks bleary eyes and lifts her head. “How long was I asleep?”

“Not long.” I kiss her lips. “Hungry?”

“Mm. I can eat.” Sitting up, she wraps the towel around her and takes the containers from Kody’s outstretched hand. “Thank you.”

We eat in silence. Lentils, canned beets, and crusty bread—it goes down fast and tastes delicious. I didn’t realize how hungry I was.

Finished, she rubs my thigh with affection. Or maybe it’s to reassure me as she slides away and joins Wolf in the rear of the sauna.

As she settles next to him, shoulder to shoulder, he hugs her to him and rests his chin on her head.

“I’m sorry,” he breathes. “For what I did in the kitchen. I didn’t mean to scare you.”

“We all make mistakes.” She curls against his side. “Love means you’ll always have my forgiveness. I know you’re trying your best, even if your best can be better.”

I find Kody’s eyes through the steam. He lifts a shoulder and slides into a lazy sprawl on the other end of the bench.

“I need you, Wolf.” Her voice drifts through the vapor, seeping into our pores. “We need you. All we have is one another.”

She folds her arms around him, and he leans against her, adjusting and sinking until his head falls onto her towel-wrapped lap.

I try not to bristle as she runs her hands through his hair, massaging his scalp and drawing light circles on his face.

Another glance at Kody makes me relax. He has a damn smile on his lips. Half a smile, anyway. It looks weird there. Lopsided and rusty. But I feel it.

This is exactly what Wolf needs. A soft touch without expectations. A gentle voice without a hidden agenda. A feminine embrace without sexual context.

He needs the love of a mother.

Kody and I had that once, if only for a little while. But Wolf? He never did. Gretchen was as cruel and as evil as Denver.
