“Isabella,” I murmur, my voice strained as I position myself between her legs. “I need you.”

I’m ready to take her, to finally claim her the way I’ve wanted since the moment I saw her, but just as I’m about to enter her, she presses a hand against my chest.

“Nathan... I’ve never done this before,” she whispers, her voice trembling. “I’m a virgin.”

Her words hit me like a shock, and for a moment, everything stills. She’s a virgin. I can feel her body trembling beneath me, and I realize how innocent she is, how much she’s trusting me with.

I look down at her, my chest heaving, my cock throbbing with the need to be inside her, but I can’t do it. Not yet. Not like this.

I pull back, my hands cupping her face as I press a soft kiss to her forehead. “I won’t take that from you,” I whisper, my voice hoarse with restraint. “Not tonight.”

Her eyes are wide, full of emotion, and I can see the trust in them—the trust she’s given me. And in that moment, I know that I’ll wait as long as it takes. Because she deserves more than just a moment of passion. She deserves everything.

ISABELLA

The mansion is still, save for the soft crackle of the fire as I lie in bed, staring up at the ornate ceiling. My body still hums from everything that happened with Nathan. The way he touched me, the way he kissed me—it was like nothing I’ve ever experienced. And yet, he stopped. He could have taken me, could have had me in every way, but he didn’t. He pulled back, whispering that I deserved more.

No one’s ever made me feel like that before. Wanted, cherished.

I turn over, my mind racing. I shouldn’t want him as much as I do. He’s powerful, wealthy, so far out of my league that it’s ridiculous. I’m just a girl who grew up bouncing from one foster home to the next, never knowing what it was like to have a real family. And yet, when he looks at me, it’s like none of that matters.

I close my eyes, hoping sleep will come. But even as I drift off, his touch lingers on my skin, and I know that something inside me has changed.

The next morning, I wake to the soft sound of footsteps. For a moment, I’m disoriented, unsure of where I am. But then I remember—Nathan’s mansion. Last night. The way he held me, the way he looked at me with those dark, intense eyes.

I sit up, pulling the sheets around me, just as Nathan steps into the room, carrying a tray. My breath catches at the sight of him. He’s shirtless, his muscled chest and broad shoulders on full display, and the morning light filters through the windows, casting a golden glow over him.

"Good morning," he says, his voice low and warm. "I thought you might be hungry."

He sets the tray down on the bed, and I stare at the spread—fresh fruit, pastries, coffee, everything arranged so beautifully that it almost looks too perfect to eat. I glance up at him, my heart fluttering.

"You didn’t have to do this," I whisper, my voice a whisper.

Nathan smiles, sitting down beside me on the bed. "I wanted to. You deserve to be treated well, Isabella. You deserve to be cared for."

His words make my chest tighten, and I look away, feeling unworthy of his kindness. I’m not used to this—being looked after, being wanted. It’s overwhelming.

We eat in comfortable silence for a few minutes before Nathan speaks again. "Tell me about your dreams," he says, his eyes softening as he watches me. "What do you want, Isabella?"

I pause, unsure how to answer. No one’s ever asked me that before. What do I want? I’ve spent my whole life just trying to survive, never thinking about the future, about what I truly desire.

"I’ve never really thought about it," I admit, my voice small. "But I guess... I want a family. I never had one, and I’ve always dreamed of having children, of being the kind of mother who loves her kids the way I never was."

Nathan’s expression changes, his gaze deepening as he reaches out to take my hand. "You’d make a wonderful mother," he murmurs, his thumb brushing over my knuckles. "I can see it in you. Your sweetness, your strength."

My cheeks flush at his words, and I feel something warm bloom in my chest. "What about you?" I ask, my voice barely a whisper. "What do you want?"

He’s quiet for a moment, as if weighing his words. "I’ve spent so many years focused on my business, on building my empire. But now..." His eyes lock on mine, and I feel the weight of his gaze. "Now, I want more. I want a family. A wife. Children. Someone to share all of this with."
