“Love you.”

“You can’t sweet talk your way out of this. That hurt.” I’m lying. He barely tapped me.

“I guess I need to kiss it better,” he tells me.

“And on that note, I’m out.” Emerson places the bag on the kitchen island and makes her way back to the front door. “Call us if you need us.”

“I think I can handle this on my own, Em,” Legend calls back.

“Too much information, Legend. Too much.” Her laughter fills the entryway and dies down as she exits the house.

“You’re so bad.”

“Let’s eat so I can have dessert.”

“Did she bring dessert?” We both know she didn’t bring dessert and what kind of dessert he’s talking about.

“You, gorgeous.”

“We have to unpack.”

“We will. After we each have lunch and I get my dessert.”

“I guess I’ll take one for the team.”

I yelp as he lifts me into his arms, tosses me over his shoulder, and stomps off toward our bedroom. The guys helped him put our bed back together before they left. I was able to find the sheets and blankets, so it’s made, but that’s the extent of our unpacking.

“I thought we were going to eat lunch.”

“I changed my mind.” He tosses me onto the freshly made bed, and I laugh as I bounce across the mattress.

“We have so much unpacking to do.”

“We’ll get there. It’s all about priorities, baby.”

I shake my head with a smile pulling at my lips. “The responsible thing would be to start unpacking.”

“No, the responsible thing would be for me to remind my sexy wife that she’s all that matters. Everything else is just noise.”

He’s hovering over me, arms braced on either side of my head, smiling down at me. I place my hands on his cheeks and stare him in the eye. “I love that I get this side of you. A side I never knew existed. I love that we have fun together, and well, I just love you. My heart races anytime you’re near. I think about you all the time, and you’re the first person I want to call to tell you about my day.”

“This is me with you, Monroe. It’s the version of me that I give to you as my wife, my love, my everything. This version of me is yours and no one else’s. It didn’t exist until the day you said you would marry me. At that moment, I felt the change. The idea that you would be mine, even for a predetermined amount of time, created the me that is your husband. Only ever yours.” His lips drop to mine, and I open for him.

I don’t care about unpacking. Sure, it needs to be done, but at this moment—connecting with my husband and christening our new home together—these moments are the ones I live for. The world won’t stop spinning if we spend a few hours enveloped in a freshly made bed in our new bedroom.

Legend leans in closer, pressing his lips to mine. I wrap my arms and legs around him and manage to flip us so that I’m straddling him and he’s lying flat on the bed. “What if I want my dessert first?” I ask him as I reach for the waistband of his jeans and pop the button open.

“You know I can’t say no to you.”

“Good.” I shimmy back and unzip his jeans. “Lift that ass for me,” I say, barely able to hold back my laughter as I try to be him.

He chuckles but does as I ask. He kicks at his jeans and boxer briefs once I have them over his hips, and they fall with a loud thump to the hardwood floor.

Knowing I need a better angle, I climb off the bed. “Move to the edge,” I tell him as I begin to lower to my knees.

“Wait.” He reaches behind him and grabs a pillow, placing it on the floor.

“Always taking care of me.” It’s a good thing he loves me. I don’t know how I would ever live without this man in my life.

“Until my last breath.”

Kneeling on the floor next to the bed, I’m nice and comfortable on the plush pillow. I wrap his cock in my hand and stroke him a few times. “You can lie back and relax.”

“No way. I’m not missing a single second of your lips around my cock.”

“It’s not like it’s the first or last time this will ever happen.”

“Don’t care. I’m not missing it.” He quickly gathers my mass of hair and pulls it to one side. “That’s better.”

“So you want to see me do this?” Fisting his cock, I bring it to my lips and lick the tip as if it were a lollipop.

“I want to see it all, Mrs. Raines.”

“Will that ever stop turning me on? Hearing my married name?”

“It’s your name. Period. You are Mrs. Legend Raines, Monroe Raines, for the rest of your life.”
