Sam pushed him onto his back and looked down at him with a lewd smirk. “The things I want to do to you…”

Dominic gave him a slow, lazy smile. “I’m all ears.”

Epilogue

The tiny village in the Swiss Alps didn’t get a lot of newcomers. Sometimes there were tourists looking for new skiing routes, but the village wasn’t close to the main tourist attractions, so it didn’t happen all that often.

So when Sophie Blauch heard the rumor that the small cottage at the edge of the village was finally sold to someone—a British couple—she immediately went to investigate. She had lived in this village for over forty years; it was practically her duty to welcome newcomers.

Sophie was a little disappointed that the new owners of the cottage didn’t intend to take permanent residence there—apparently they had bought the cottage for holidays—but nevertheless, they were such interesting people.

They were a striking couple: two tall, well-dressed handsome men, recently married and very obviously in love. The older one, Dominic, was probably in his thirties. He was well mannered but a little reserved. Truth be told, there was something about his eyes that made Sophie wonder if he really was the businessman he had claimed to be.

The younger one, Sam, was such a darling. Apparently, he was some sort of gaming journalist who wrote critical reviews on video games. Inwardly, Sophie scoffed at such a strange job, but the young man was so obviously proud of his job she didn’t have the heart to say anything.

When she asked them how they met, the strangest thing happened.

“He kidnapped me,” Sam said.

“We met on a cruise,” Dominic corrected him. “A very boring cruise.”

“He bought me at an auction,” Sam said with a smile that was delightfully filthy.

Sophie blushed. She might be old, but she wasn’t dead.

Dominic gave his husband a long-suffering look and said, “Please ignore him, Sophie. He has a vivid imagination.”

Sam laughed and agreed, slipping his hand into Dominic’s and lacing their fingers.

Few people would have noticed the look the couple exchanged, the tiny smirk playing on Dominic’s lips as he squeezed the redhead’s hand, but Sophie did.

And she wondered.
