Tears formed in her eyes. “Quit teasing me, Asher.”

His expression softened and he leaned down, licking at the tear that had escaped. “I’m sorry. I just want to make sure you’re ready for me,” he said, sweat beading on his brow.

She rolled her eyes, unsure whether to be touched or annoyed. “I’m not a virgin, you know.”

A muscle pulsed in his jaw at her admission. “I assumed but you are so fucking tight and, you feel so good, I just want to slam into you hard. But I don’t want to hurt you,” he said, voice softening, lips brushing over hers.

With their bodies aligned and his cock still partway inside her, it was frustrating, yes, but at the same time, so sweet and intimate. So unlike the Asher she’d met at the airport and more like the man she was coming to know.

She kissed his chin and breathed in his scent, drowning in how perfect he smelled.

“You’re okay?” he asked, gliding out and pushing back into her, arms shaking, as he barely held on to his restraint.

“I am but I know how I could be better.” And in case he needed an explanation, she squeezed her inner muscles around him.

He took the hint and thrust into her completely, letting out a satisfied groan. “F-u-ck, Nikki. So fucking good.”

She agreed, as her entire being lit up from the inside out. He was huge, stretching her insides, but it was perfect. Pleasure consumed her and she dug her nails into his shoulders, not caring if she broke skin. Heaven couldn’t feel this perfect, she thought.

Until he began to move and she soared even higher, letting herself go and experience all that was Asher. He pumped his hips, moving inside her, each pass in and out harder than the one before.

“Look at me.”

She did.

And he stared into her eyes as he continued to take her. The slapping noise of skin against skin, the slickness of their bodies connecting were the most erotic sounds she’d ever heard. But it was more than sexual. Her soul connected to his and he filled the empty spaces that had lived inside her all of her life.

She had to face facts. He owned her body. No man would ever come close to the feel of Asher inside her.

She wrapped her legs around his hips. The new angle brought him deeper, and he rubbed against just the right spot inside her. White spots flashed behind her eyes and fire licked at her veins.

“That’s it, Nikki. Come for me.”

“I am. Oh God, I am.” She blanked out everything but sensation.

And Asher? He held on, driving into her as she rode out a climax that seemed to never end.

Only when she began to come down from the high did he let go and chase his own pleasure. A few more thrusts gave her mini aftershocks, and then he stiffened above her, coming with a harsh groan, her name on his lips.

Asher woke up to a feeling of déjà vu and Nikki’s body half covering his. Only this time, he knew exactly how he’d ended up in this position. He could get used to waking up to her draped over him every morning. The thought caught him off guard. He wasn’t a man who wanted a woman in his bed for more than a night or two, max. And her bed was preferrable. He definitely didn’t want to wake up to a female and give her the wrong idea.

Yet here he was, thinking about Nikki and… No. He wasn’t going to delve into it any more than he would overthink the consequences of his actions. He was relaxed and intended to stay that way. Without opening his eyes, he slid his arm down her bare back, cupped one ass cheek in his hand, and squeezed. He slipped his finger lower and toyed with her sex, feeling her grow wet around him.

“You’re up early,” she practically slurred. “Two rounds weren’t enough for you?”

He grinned at the reminder of what had been the best sex of his life. Something else he wouldn’t be overanalyzing, because he had no desire to dig into what that meant, either.

“Consider the first time an appetizer, the second, my main course.” Since he’d made her come with his mouth before burying himself inside her body, the metaphor made sense. “This morning we can call it dessert.”

A warm tongue licked his temple. Not on the side where Nikki still lay snuggled on top of him.

He opened his eyes, came face-to-face with the dog, and groaned. “What happened to crate training?” he muttered, moving Lucky’s face and open mouth away from his.

Nikki shrugged against him, her body still loose, obviously not the least bit repentant. “After you fell asleep, I walked him again because I don’t know his habits. Then I felt guilty bringing him upstairs to be alone in an unfamiliar room, locked in a crate, when he’s used to being free.”
