“He’d be a fool to try that shit again,” Logan says as he gets up and starts pulling on all his gear again. The crowd roars and starts chanting the Thunders war-cry letting us know they’ve scored another goal. Logan grins at me with a boyish charm in his excited eyes and I can’t help but grin back.
“You didn’t hit him back?” I question.
Logan takes my hand and leads me back down the hallway. “No. I play clean. I don’t get off on beating the shit out of dickheads like that.”
“Why did he do it? Do you know him?”
“No, but there’s always one in every team. I’m the biggest threat so they think if they can take me out, they’ll have a better chance at taking the win but it never works, my boys are just as good and know how to pick up the slack when I’m out. That’s why we’re the current defending champions,” he explains.
I roll my eyes as we step back into the arena. “Proud much?” I tease.
“Damn straight, babe,” he laughs as he steps back into the box and gives Coach Robinson the verdict, though, I notice he skips the part about backing off and I realise I’ll be spending my night at Logan’s place trying to loosen his muscle.
The game goes on and true to his word, Logan stays off the ice until the next period.
The game comes to an end with my boys remaining the defending champions and the noise in the arena is incredible. I’ve never witnessed anything like it but I know for a fact, that this is where I want to be and I have absolutely no plans to change that.
The atmosphere in the place is something I’ll never grow tired of and the fact that I also have Logan here, making it that much better is just the cherry on top.
The boys disappear into the locker room and I head into my office to fill in all my paperwork. I get straight into it and find myself lost in my work when Logan knocks at the door. “Come on,” he says. “I’m taking you home.”
“I don’t think so,” I laugh as I turn to face him. “You need to take my brother home and explain to them where the hell he has been.”
He walks straight into my office and scoops me up out of my chair. “He’s already in the hallway, ready to go.”
I look up at Logan and fall in love with him all over again. “Kiss me,” I demand.
“My pleasure,” he murmurs before pressing his lips to mine.
“What’s taking so lo…. Ugh,” Brendan whines from the door of my office. “Dude, get off my sister.”
I grin against Logan’s lips and he reluctantly pulls back. I grab my bag and soon find myself curled up in the warmth of Logan’s truck, driving Brendan back to the rehab facility.
Logan helps break him back into his room while I apologise to as many nurses and staff as possible, explaining what my moronic boyfriend had done but, in the end, Brendan had a great time and I couldn’t have asked for anything more.
Half-an-hour later, Logan and I are wrapped in his sheets and just as I thought, I’m busy trying to relax his muscle while fighting off hands that keep grabbing my ass. “Wait,” I laugh.
“Nope,” he demands as he grabs me and throws me down to the mattress. His hand slides down my body and into my underwear. My body instantly comes alive with his touch and I can’t believe what a little hussy I’ve turned into over the past few weeks. I simply just can’t get enough of this man.
My panties somehow find themselves being kicked off before my legs are wrapped about his waist. He pushes into me and completely fills me before giving me everything he’s got.
Fuck, I love this man.
He pushes me right to edge until we’re both finding that release we’ve been craving.
Chapter 19
Logan
What a beautiful fucking day for a wedding.
Just like Sean and Sara’s wedding, Cass and Jax have hijacked my parent’s estate to hold their wedding and once again, I wouldn’t have it any other way. This place is perfect and not-to-mention, it’s the place we all feel closest to my parents, so it makes sense. I wouldn’t be surprised if me and Carter also get married here one day.
The whole process of decoration and table settings started two days ago and its pretty damn clear this is going to be one hell of a grand wedding. The place is completely decked out, even more so than what Sara turned the place into, which honestly, I’m surprised, Cass usually goes for simplicity so maybe this is all Jax’s doing. Ever since they were kids, he has wanted nothing more than to give her the world and this just proves that.
