He also smacked my ass for being a bad girl.

I came instantly, and hard.

It was bonus time for me, I knew, because even though I took him close while I was going down on him, Tom had control and stamina, and he got grouchy when he didn’t get his way during sex, like…immediately.

Therefore, he retaliated in the most delicious ways.

This time, I was pulled off him and planted on my hands and knees. I then felt his palm between my shoulder blades, and I was forced to genuflect in front of him while he drove in from behind.

Unsurprisingly, not long later, I came again.

And hard.

I was essentially an ooze of flesh by the time he climaxed inside me, which was probably why, after he used my pussy to milk himself dry and then used it more to stroke through the loss of his erection, and he finally pulled out, I collapsed on the bed.

I felt his lips touch my ass cheek, he was gone, then he was back with a warm wet cloth between my legs.

That felt good, but I didn’t do anything but release a low moan.

He was gone again, and when he came back that time, he rearranged me in bed so he was on his back, I was draped down his side, and the covers were over us.

I really, really loved that I got the monster fucking me, and the gentleman who took care of me at all other times.

It rocked.

“You need to touch yourself when I’m away,” he advised.

“Not a chance,” I mumbled against his chest.

“You clamped on so tight when you came, both times, I thought I was going to lose an important appendage,” he teased. “And we only had one night apart.”

“Stop flattering your own damned self.”

“I don’t have to, you were so hungry for my cock, I thought you’d asphyxiate yourself with how deep you took me when you got it in your mouth.”

It took effort, but I expended it to lift my head and glare at him.

He was grinning.

Widely.

Incidentally, my glare had no effect.

“Cocky is not attractive,” I warned him on a lie.

“Bullshit,” he called me on it.

I was too mellowed out for this.

The fact I loved the way he fucked me was not news to me or Tom.

If I could take a comment about the documentary I’d spent four years researching that I’d made about women in the workforce from the war effort to Anita Hill of it being called “sophomoric tripe” (by a white male septuagenarian whose favorite film of all time was American Beauty, I would add), I could take Tom teasing me.

I collapsed into him again.

He sifted his fingers through my hair to pull it away from my face and then did it again just because.

I closed my eyes and melted deeper into him.

“I’m glad you missed me,” he murmured. “Because I missed you.”

“Yeah,” I muttered. “Sleeping alone sucks.”

“Agreed.”

I expended more effort to kiss his chest.

And when I’d settled back in, I said, “Welcome home, baby.”

“Thanks, honey.”

I would have liked to talk to him, learn more about his trip, seeing as I’d picked him up, we stopped by Blanco for some Mexican and we mostly talked about Sasha, Matt’s imminent arrival, Chloe still being ticked at Genny, and not about his trip or what was happening with Core Point, then we came home and fucked.

I didn’t.

I passed out.

I knew Tom didn’t mind, because when he shifted me so we were tangled face to face, I woke just enough to see he did it in his sleep.

So, as ever, he’d been right there with me.

CHAPTER 20

THE AMBUSH PART 2

Mika

“Honey, you’re fidgeting.” I glanced over at my daughter then masked the surprise when I asked, “Are you nervous?”

“Yeah, I mean, we’re meeting Matt tonight.”

And we were.

Sadly, I’d just had another two nights without Tom.

This was because Matt had arrived Saturday. They’d spent that day and Sunday together, playing tennis and doing other man things.

Now it was Monday, and Cadence and I were going over to Tom’s for dinner.

Sasha, Chloe and Judge were going to be there too, and now Cadence and Sasha were thick as thieves.

Before, I couldn’t get my daughter to focus on her studies.

Since Sasha showed a little over a week ago, nearly every day, Cadence had been in the courtyard where Sasha’s coffee shop was located. She was there because “That place is dope as hell, Mom!” She was also there studying.

They hung out after. Sasha was showing Cadence the cool, hip, young people’s Phoenix and Cadence was loving it.

She hadn’t seemed nervous at all about Sasha, or Chloe, or Judge, and especially Tom.

I didn’t understand her response right now to Matt.

“I mean, sons are important to men, yeah? Like, fathers are really into their sons, am I right?” she asked.

“They’re into all their kids, kid,” I replied. “Like I’m super into how cool you are.”
