I just got done lecturing Brianna on distractions last night. Seems I’m going to have to lecture Dragon as well.

I walk over to his bed. He’s lying face down, thank God, so I don’t have to ogle his junk.

I push at his shoulder. “Dragon. Wake up.”

Nothing.

“Come on, man. We’ve got rehearsal. Get your ass up. It’s breakfast time.”

One of the women stirs, opening one eye, her tits on display. Her eyes are smoky with mascara smudges.

“Well, hi there, handsome.” A slow smile spreads across her face.

“Good morning. I hope you had a great time. But it’s time for you to leave now.”

She yawns. “What time is it?”

“Time for you to leave. Time for your companion to wake up and leave as well. And time for Dragon—”

“Dragon?”

“That guy in bed with you?”

“Yeah…” She caresses Dragon’s ass through the bedsheets. “He’s hot.”

I roll my eyes. “Come on. Get up. And take your friend with you.”

I turn my back.

“Don’t like what you see?”

“Ladies, just get the hell out of here. Dragon and I have to get to rehearsal.”

“Yeah… The concert… Jenny and I have tickets tonight too. Can’t wait to see you all again.”

“I’m hoping we get to go to bed with one of the real band members tomorrow night,” Jenny says.

I resist the urge to comment. Just as I suspected, Dragon and I were sloppy seconds. The groupies are gunning for Emerald Phoenix. Do they not know that Jett Draconis is happily married? Zane would take them, though. I’m just glad I kept him off Maddie and Brianna.

The first woman—I have no idea what her name is—gathers her clothes and heads into the bathroom, while Jenny finally sits up in bed, her tits dangling.

“Who are you?” she asks, her voice raspy from cigarette smoke.

“You don’t remember me from last night? I’m Jesse. Time for you to leave.”

“I have to wait for Andrea to be done in the bathroom.”

“I think you can join Andrea in the bathroom,” I say. “You two clearly don’t mind sharing.”

She giggles with a rasp. “Fine.” She gets off the bed, and I look away again as she gathers her clothes, traipses into the bathroom. She knocks on the door. “Andy, let me in!”

The door’s lock clicks, Jenny enters, and I hear giggling and then some smooching.

Yeah, I don’t have to guess what went on here last night. I just hope they get the hell out of here quickly.

Now to deal with Dragon.

He’s still lying face down, and I don’t want to pull the covers and see his bare ass, but I don’t have a choice.

I rip the covers off and nudge his shoulder. “Dragon! Get your ass up!”

He doesn’t stir.

“Jesus Christ. Come on, Dragon!” I roll him over, avoiding looking at his junk. His face is pale. “Oh, shit!”

I reach for his neck. Thank God. I find his pulse, but he doesn’t look good.

“Dragon.” I slap his face several times. “Dragon! What did you do? Wake up!”

I run to the bathroom and pound on the door. “What did you guys take last night?” I demand.

No response.

I twist the doorknob. Thank God it’s not locked. I open it and—

“Jesus Christ,” I say again.

Jenny is sitting on the counter, and Andrea is kneeling, her face buried in Jenny’s pussy.

I yank Andrea away. “You two need to listen to me right now. I can’t wake up my friend in the other room. What the hell did you guys take?”

Andrea’s eyes go wide. “We… We didn’t take anything. We just drank.”

“Did you see him take anything?”

“No. He drank a little. Not as much as we did, to be sure.”

“All right. Call 9-1-1.”

They both widen their eyes at me.

Right. We’re not in the US. “What do you do when you need emergency help?”

“9-9-9,” Andrea says, her voice trembling. “You call 9-9-9.”

I reach into my pocket—

“Fuck!” My cell. I must have left it in the other room.

I leave the bathroom and dart my gaze around the room. A phone sits on the desk.

I pick it up and dial 9-9-9 quickly.

“Emergency,” an English-accented voice says into my ear. “Which service do you require—police, fire, or ambulance?”

“Ambulance. Please.”

“Please allow me to assess the situation. Where are you located?”

“The Regalia Hotel in London. My friend. He’s not responsive. He has a light pulse. He may have ingested some kind of drug.”

“I see. I’m dispatching an ambulance now. What is your room number, please?”

Robotically, I give her all the information she asks for.

“Emergency help is on the way, sir. Please do not leave the patient. Make sure…”

I listen with half an ear to her instructions. Finally she hangs up.

I have no idea how quickly they’ll get here. At least someone answered.

Andrea and Jenny leave the room after that, thank God. I don’t need them to be here when the ambulance shows up. The dispatcher asked me to scan the room to see if I could find any pill bottles or anything, so I do so. I look under the bed, in the nightstand drawer, and then I race into the bathroom, scouring it as well.
