“Okay, I’m out,” he announces, rounding the staircase and coming over to us. I avoid looking at him because, how the fuck do you look at someone who you literally dry humped in the middle of the night? “Did you check her temperature this morning?” he asks.

“I did.” I nod, mistakenly looking at him. The minute I do, I swear to everything my pussy contracts. He’s wearing a black suit that I know is custom-made because I had to drive him once to get fitted for it. The suit is paired with a charcoal shirt and a black tie, which means he looks fucking hot. Of course, I know now what his dick feels like, so my eyes automatically go where they shouldn’t before I feel my cheeks getting hot. “No fever.”

“Woo-hoo.” He puts his hands in the air, one empty and the other holding his jacket. “That means it’s going to be a good day.”

He walks to the kitchen sink at the same time I move over to Cici and take her out of her high chair. “We should get you changed,” I whisper to her, and in the corner of my eye I see him coming to us. I literally, no word of a lie, hold my motherfucking breath.

“See you tonight,” he says, leaning down and kissing Cici on the cheek. I think I’m in the clear, but I’m not that lucky. “Have a good day.” He looks at me and kisses me on the lips before walking out the door.

I stay here stuck in the middle of the kitchen, my lips still tingling from his kiss. My heart races in my chest, while my stomach feels like it’s going to come out of my mouth. I look over at Cici shocked, finding her staring at me and I swear if I didn’t know better, I would think she is leering. “Don’t look at me like that,” I chide her, “things are a bit…” I walk to the stairs. “What did you think was going to happen after you came on his fingers?” I mumble to myself. “It’s a bit blurry but it’ll be fine. Everything is going to be fine.” I look down at Cici. “It’s fine.”

I get Cici to daycare before walking into work. Smiling at everyone, I pretend it’s just another day in the office, when it’s not. Nothing is like any other day because last night, in the middle of the night, I had a kiss that is—hands down—the kiss to end all kisses. It’s at this moment that I would pick up the phone and call Levi to discuss it with him, but I can’t.

I’m sitting at my desk, leaning back in my chair with my eyes closed, but that doesn’t help. All I can see is Levi’s face right before he came. My phone rings, making me jump when I think it’s him and he caught me thinking about him. I look down, seeing it’s Addison.

“Hello,” I answer, trying to sound like I didn’t get finger-banged last night. “How are you?”

“Why are you so weird?” she asks right away. “Is everything okay?”

“Of course it is.” I chuckle so fake even I secretly cringe. I hear the ringing and look down at my phone. “Are you FaceTiming me?”

“Yes,” she confirms, “answer.”

I swallow down and take a deep breath before I press the connect button. “Game face,” I tell myself as the white circle goes round and round when it says connecting. “Good morning.” I smile into the camera as Addison’s face comes into view.

“Good morning to you,” she greets and then I hear “Good morning” being chanted from behind her. “I’m here with the girls,” she explains, extending her hand so I can see them all sitting around a table.

“Hi, guys.” I wave my hand, knowing I’m totally being so fake right now.

“Before we get to why you look all pent up with sexual frustration,” Clarabella starts. “How is everything?”

“Everything is amazing,” I chirp, the smile not leaving my face. “I’m fine, Cici is fine. We are all fine.”

“Oh, my,” Addison states, “you look like you are about to cry.”

“I was going to say burst.” All eyes turn toward Shelby. “You know those cartoons where the person is like, I’m fine, but inside they are like shaking and their head is going to explode, that is how she looks.” I gasp. “But you look amazing.”

“Nice save,” Shelby notes. “How is married life?”

“Married life is married life.” I shrug my shoulders. “It’s fine.”

“Where do you sleep?” Presley taps the table in front of her, hiding her smirk.

“Well, I only have one bed,” I admit to them, trying to pretend it’s fine. “How is everything on your side?”

“Oh, deflection,” Sofia points out. “That means there is something there.”

“Is there?” Addison asks, her eyes big.

“No, there is nothing there.” I shake my head back and forth quickly.
