Everything from his breathing to his hard-on said he approved of all my ideas so far. But it was the faint echo of desire I thought I was feeling from the mate bond that said I’d hit the nail on the head.

“And I’m very, very glad my boy is strong enough that I don’t have to be too careful.” Yep, that flash again. “If you were a tiny human, I might not have ever suggested it, but you’re strong and sexy and you could take your mate, couldn’t you?”

Shifting to put my weight on the back of the couch, I released the armrest and moved my hand to stroke lightly over his chest. I was still feeding into the trapped sensations running through him, but I’d taken it up a notch and I was finally getting to touch him.

His T-shirt was molded to his shoulders and biceps, which were too tempting to ignore. “You’d be able to fight back, and I’d be hard and ready to take you by the time I finally had you trapped.”

Barely moving closer, I let the anticipation build. “And at some point, I’m going to explore all those sexy muscles with my lips and tongue, but for now, I want your mouth.”

And I was going to show him just how much I wanted his sexy mouth…and his submission.

Chapter 13

Alick

I could feel his desire.

Not in my lips.

Not in the way his hand pressed me back against the couch.

Not in the growl in his voice when he’d talked about chasing me.

I could literally feel his desire coursing through me when he’d thought about what he wanted to do to me…and the images running through his head had to be more wicked than what he’d said because his emotions had been passionate and rough.

He liked my muscles.

Whatever he was feeling from me probably had him crazy confused, so I pushed the overwhelming thoughts to the back of my mind and focused on the wonderful trapped feeling as he kept me pinned to the couch and the way he nibbled and licked and sent shivers through me.

“That’s my good boy.” Softly whispering against my lips, he went back to kissing me and all I could do was moan and get harder as his tongue slipped between my lips and made love to my mouth.

When he finally released me, he stayed close and kept his gaze on mine. “Mates are always compatible, baby boy.”

I could feel my cheeks heating up, but I nodded slowly. “Sometimes that’s easy to remember.”

“But sometimes it’s not.” Finishing my thought, he stayed close. “I’ll help you so you won’t forget.”

“Because you’re my mate?” The question popped out before I realized how ridiculous it was, but he took it seriously.

“Not just that. Yes, I’m your mate but I’m your Daddy, baby boy. I’m your Dom. And eventually I’m going to be your best friend.” He gave me a teasing glare as I tried not to grin. “The logical friend. Not the shenanigans kind.”

No laughing.

No laughing.

No laughing.

“I like logical friends.” I was usually that friend, but I didn’t always do a good job of remembering that was my position. “Thank you, Daddy.”

It seemed like cheek kissing time, so I tried to channel Kenzie and look adorable.

Grady laughed. “Such a cute little troublemaker.”

That seemed to be a good thing but I didn’t admit to him being right. “Do I get more kisses if I admit that I liked your…your ideas?”

Yep, I needed to pull out the big guns or he’d start asking questions that would make him realize what bad influences Kenzie and Lorne were. I hadn’t spent so many years hiding that from my parents just to have my Daddy figure it out on the first day.

Rumbly laughter didn’t quite escape, but I heard it in his chest as he smiled. He had it under control as he gave me another quick peck, though. “Yes, that definitely gets you more kisses, and I totally approve of your distraction technique.”

Ugh.

“You’re supposed to pretend you didn’t notice that part.” How was I the one who had to tell him that?

He scoffed. “I’m not promising that unless the distraction is a lot more believable.”

Having a Daddy was hard work…but I was up to the challenge.

Hmm.

Okay, yes.

Pushing one finger against his chest, I smiled as he fell back like a big tree that’d just been cut. “You’re so dramatic.”

But I showed him I approved by climbing on his lap, straddling his thighs, and doing my best to remind myself that he wasn’t human and I wasn’t too big for him. I only had to run through the slightly obsessive words twice before he wrapped his arms around me and his eyes twinkled as his hands landed on my ass.

“Well, I approve of the change in tactics.” He was still a pain in the butt, but nothing in his reaction or just generic hints said I was too big.
