He obeyed, pushing his ass higher and spreading his legs as he shook, whimpers filling the room and my mind. “Please.”

I couldn’t decide if he knew he’d spoken the plea out loud, but I could hear how close to the edge he was in that simple word. “Yes, baby boy.”

Moving behind him as I quickly stripped off my clothes, I was naked by the time I moved between his legs. I spread the last of the lube on my cock as I ran my other hand up his back and down over his gorgeous red ass.

“You’re so beautiful, baby boy.”

Running the head of my erection over his slicked hole, I focused my thoughts on how much I loved him and how I’d dreamed of this moment with him. When I finally pressed the head just inside him, the bond lit up again and the bright vine that wound through my head looked almost neon as his emotions flooded through.

It was perfection.

There was nothing more incredible than being as close as two people could get when the bond was at its peak, and as I sank deeper into him, I knew without a doubt that he felt the same way. There were no barriers between us, no emotion I didn’t understand.

I could feel his love and his need…his fears and his almost innocent eagerness at the idea of being mine.

And it all got even more vibrant as I made love to my mate and filled him with my body and my desire.

By the time I had him completely pinned to the bed and I was thrusting in and out as his pleas for more filled my mind, I wasn’t sure where he ended and I began. We were so tied together that when he finally exploded and his orgasm fired through both of our minds, I fell over the cliff with him without even realizing it.

As I collapsed onto him, his body still quivering around me, I heard soft, happy sighs fill my mind.

“Don’t move, Daddy. This is…this is perfect.”

Since I happened to agree and I could feel how good it felt to him, I kissed the back of his head and his shoulders and wrapped myself even tighter around him.

“Everything with you is perfect, baby boy.”

Nuzzling against him, I kept him cocooned between the bed and me, sending soothing sounds and feelings through the bond.

“Because mates are always compatible, Daddy.”

Kissing his shoulder, I tucked my face into his neck and nodded, taking in his scent and just marveling at my mate.

“Mates are incredible, baby boy, but the most wonderful magic in the world is love.”

With a bit of mischief and magic, love would always find a way.

“I…I remember the rules.” That didn’t mean he wasn’t going to make me go over them again, though, and I knew that because we’d done it three times since dinner. “When it’s time, we stay in the property boundaries because that’s the area spelled to make sure no one sees us.”

Daddy was incredibly worried about a neighbor being nosy and us ending up down at the sheriff’s office.

I’d wanted to tell him he was wrong, but I wasn’t going to lie, so we were both going to be careful.

“I have my safewords and so do you.” We were both confident about the plan, but sometimes fears weren’t logical. “Um, we’re going to be careful but if someone gets a bruise, we’re not going to panic.”

He went silent, pretending to study the cabinets on the other side of the kitchen, but I pinned him with my gaze and raised one eyebrow until he sighed. “Fine, I won’t overreact.”

I didn’t believe him at all, but I was going to hope for the best.

“Good. Because I can’t have fun being frightened if I have to worry.” That sentence made no sense at all, but he sighed and frowned, so I knew I’d made my point.

“Fine.” Shrugging and attempting to look casual, Grady frowned. “But if you get hurt—”

“Butthead.”

He huffed, glaring at me. “I am not. And what did we say about that?”

“Not to get caught?”

That got the cutest scoff and he actually crossed his arms over his chest. “Excuse me?”

We hadn’t set a strict timeline for when we’d have our chase. Grady kept saying we’d know when the time was right but that was all he’d say besides making us go over a thousand what-if scenarios. I wasn’t sure if the vague timeline was because he wanted to give me time to think about it or if it was because he wasn’t sure how to lead us into the scene, but I was tired of waiting.

And ready to be a pain in the ass.

Sliding closer to the back door, I decided the clothes I was wearing were disposable, just in case, and I was glad I still had my shoes on after taking the trash out earlier. “That was what we said about cursing too, right?”
