I nod.
“I know, but these subjects are intertwined because sometimes, money can support a woman’s independence and freedom. But before we delve deeper into the semantics, I just want to say this: I love you, Vanessa, and give me a year. Keep your true identity under wraps for another twelve months, and then we’ll have this conversation again.”
The beautiful girl nods before breaking out into a brilliant smile.
“And then what?”
“And then we’ll talk,” I growl, drawing the curvy woman into my arms. “I adore you, Vanessa Loudon, and I want to see where this goes. So let’s put a pause on the porn stuff, okay? I’m not saying that you can’t keep making videos, but please, please, please, don’t attach your beautiful features to them yet. That’s all I ask.”
The curvy girl shoots me a brilliant smile before melting into my arms.
“Okay, Daddy,” she murmurs, her words muffled as she buries her face in the crook of my neck. “I won’t, I promise. And by the way, I love you too, Gray. I have for a long time, we just never figured it out until now.”
“For good reason,” I chuckle. “I used to be married to your mom.”
“That’s right,” Vanessa agrees, tittering a bit herself. “But now, we’ll figure this out together. Streaming channel or not, faces or not, Renata or no Renata. I love you, Gray Thomas, and that’s all that matters.”
Her words are like an arrow to my heart, and I literally feel myself go weak-kneed with adoration because Vanessa is the one for me. Maybe we are in a forbidden relationship, and maybe the gorgeous girl has a taboo job, but you know what? Better to take a chance than forever remain on the sidelines. As a result, I kiss her pretty pout and pull the sassy woman closer to my broad form.
“I love you, sweetheart. And I always will.”
With that, the next chapter of our life begins.
EPILOGUE
Vanessa
The time for our big “talk” is here. It’s been six months since my boyfriend confronted me about my true calling, and to be honest, it was a relief. I was sick and tired of pretending to be a real estate agent while in fact, I was bringing in the big bucks as an adult actress. It’s hard to live a lie, and it’s even more difficult when the lie is long-term. The mental stress was wearing me down, and telling the truth was like pulling a cork out of a bottle. Suddenly, I felt like I could be myself without any lies or deceit, and the relief was overwhelming.
But now, Gray wants to have “the talk.” He wants to discuss my future as an adult performer, and to be honest, I’m looking forward to this conversation. I know it’s been coming because Thomas Builders has been doing well financially. Better than well, in fact. I know Gray has some big construction projects in the works, and he always reiterates that it’s due in part to the money I lent him. So in a way, his success is also my success, and I’m so happy to be part of a winning team.
But now, the front door opens, and Gray steps inside. The man of the house is incredibly handsome, as usual, with black hair brushed off his forehead and devastating blue eyes. He’s a little more dressed up than usual in a gray suit that shows off the breadth of his powerful shoulders, along with a starched white shirt beneath that emphasizes his deep tan.
“Hi,” I say in a soft voice. “The pasta’s almost ready.”
Gray puts his briefcase down and strolls over to give me a kiss.
“Good,” he growls. “Because I’m starving.”
I giggle.
“You’re always hungry! But go up and change, and then we can eat.”
Gray nods, and is back in flash, comfortable now in loose pants and a white t-shirt that hugs his chest and arms. My man works out like a fiend, so he resembles Henry Cavill as Superman. Warmth fills my pelvis area, and I literally begin to pant looking at the gorgeous male specimen before me.
Gray kisses my cheek again, encircling his arms around me from behind as I stand at the stove.
“Mmm, smells amazing,” he murmurs into my neck. “You’re a wonderful cook, Vanessa.”
“I know, and it’s because I have someone to cook for,” I say in an arch tone before turning my head to kiss him. “If it weren’t for you, I’d just be cooking for myself, and that’s boring. I’d have to eat leftovers for days and days, and it would be repetitive.”
He nods.
“Totally agree. Besides, I love having a beautiful woman cook for me every night. What could be better?”
It’s the perfect segue, and I turn to him, ignoring the bubbling sauce for a moment.
“Well, what could be better is discussing my professional future. You said we were going to do that this morning, before you left for work.”
