He chuckled as he rose to his feet and swept me off mine. Carrying me into our bedroom, he gently placed me on the mattress. “It’s a good thing you and your mom have been working hard on the wedding.”

“Like you gave us any choice,” I snorted, shaking my head as I remembered his demand that we throw together my dream wedding in six weeks or less because he wasn’t willing to wait a minute longer to make me his wife. We only had two more weeks to go, and I was so excited for our big day.

He shrugged his broad shoulders and grinned. “Hey, baby girl, you could have agreed to marry me at city hall instead.”

Rolling my eyes, I sighed. “Whatever.”

He started to lean toward me when his cell phone rang. Pausing, he pulled it from his pocket. After glancing at the screen to see who was calling, he grinned and held up a finger to let me know he needed to take the call. “Hey, you’ve got great timing.”

I wasn’t sure who was on the other line and couldn’t hear what they were saying, but there was no missing the feminine tone. I jerked into a sitting position and glared at Liam, more than a little irritated that he’d interrupted our moment to talk to some other woman. Whoever it was, just seeing her name on his phone had made him smile, and I liked that even less. Glaring up at him, I curved my lips down in a pout as I moved to my knees and leaned toward him. When his gaze dropped to my boobs, I took advantage of his distraction to steal the phone away from him. “Hey,” he grumbled.

I ignored him as I said, “Hello, this is London Kennedy, soon-to-be Grey. Who’s this?”

“London? Oh, my goodness, I’m so excited to hear your voice! Liam has been such a greedy guy, keeping you all to himself,” the woman on the other end of the line prattled.

Liam sat down on the mattress and laughed. Grinning, he said, “Annie tends to talk over people. Good luck getting a word in.”

“Annie as an Annika?” I asked, feeling relieved now that I knew she was the woman he considered to be family.

“Yes,” she answered instead of Liam. “Sorry! I talk a lot when I’m excited, and since I’ve been dying to meet the woman my brother fell in love with, my excitement is at an all-time high. He finally gave me a sister!”

Sister. This day really was turning out to be the best ever. “I’ve always wanted another sister!”

“And hopefully to be an aunt since my kids are looking forward to the trip to the States for the wedding.”

I was looking forward to meeting her twin sons as well. I’d even made them special shirts to wear at some point during their trip. “You better be ready for aunt duty, too.”

“Oh my gosh! Are you pregnant?” she screamed.

At that point, Liam reclaimed the phone and let Annie know that we’d just found out. While he was wrapping up the call, I grabbed my phone and pulled up my mom’s number.

“Come back here, baby girl,” Liam grumbled from the mattress, snagging my wrist and pulling me closer to the bed. “We need to celebrate the big news, just the two of us.”

As good as his suggestion sounded, I had one thing I needed to do first. “I didn’t mean to tell Annie about the baby like that, but now that the cat’s out of the bag, I’d better call my mom to let her know. She’ll never forgive me if she finds out I waited after someone else knew.”

He waved his hand to hurry me along, and I put the call on speaker as soon as the phone started to ring. “Hey, sweetie.”

“Hi, Mom.” Hearing her voice and knowing I had my own child nestled in my womb made my eyes tear up. Liam jumped off the bed and held me close as I continued, “Is Dad there? I have some news I wanted to share with you both.”

“Sure, let me get him.” She must have covered the phone with her hand because the sound was muffled as she called, “Jamie! London’s on the phone and wants to talk to you, too.”

About thirty seconds later—his quickness wasn’t a surprise since my dad still stuck as close to my mom as he could all these years later—my dad said, “I’m here. What’s going on? Are you okay? Do you need us to come over? Where’s Liam?”

“I’m right here,” he answered, shaking his head with a sigh. “And everything is more than okay. It’s fan-fucking-tastic.”

“Surprise! We’re pregnant!” I cried.

“Oh my gosh, a grandbaby,” my mom wailed.

“Calm down, peaches,” my dad soothed her, and I knew she must be crying—which made my tears stream down my cheeks. “That’s wonderful news, London. Liam?”
