Epilogue

Six Months Later

“I don’t like it,” Road said, staring down at his beautiful baby girl.

Dinah chuckled. “Will you stop worrying?”

Road glanced across at Faith, Brute, and Jonah, while he held his little Angelica.

“He better keep his eyes to himself,” Road said.

Faith laughed as did Dinah. He noticed that Brute glared at him.

“I can tell he’s already looking at my girl. He’s not having her.”

“Come on, dude, you’re still saying that same old shit?” Sarge asked.

“Hey!” Road turned his own glare on Sarge. “Do not come over here cussing. I won’t have it.”

“Yeah, his precious little angel is way too innocent, even though she probably heard way more in the womb,” Brute said.

Road knew exactly what Brute was referring to. Seeing as he and Dinah couldn’t exactly go on a honeymoon, at least not yet, because of the threat that not only Sergey posed but potentially the Italians, they had to stay in the clubhouse. Well, he and Dinah might have gotten a little vocal, and in doing so, there might have been a few words.

“Yeah, fuck me, please, yes, right there. Don’t stop.”

“Take my cock, that’s it, baby, take it.”

He and Dinah had agreed to wait to have sex until their honeymoon. They had seen it on a couple of movies and television shows, and it was to help the anticipation of their wedding. For both of them, it worked, but he had a feeling it was also to see if the only thing binding them together was their daughter and sex. It wasn’t.

He and Dinah were soulmates. There was no doubt in his mind they were like-minded, and even though they agreed on most things, neither of them were afraid to call the other out for being a dick. He tended to be the one called out for being a dick. Dinah, most of the time, was the reasonable one. At least, that was what Brute told him was the key to a happy marriage.

He didn’t need any keys or rules, Dinah was his and that was all that mattered.

“One day, Road, you’re going to accept that our daughter is going to find a man, fall in love, and that might indeed be Jonah.”

“Nope,” Road said. He’d already seen the way Jonah looked at his little girl. He would put a stop to it.

Dinah cupped his cheek, and he always marveled at how she had no response to the scars on his face. She didn’t pull away nor scream. Dinah held him, stroked him, like he was the most precious person in her world.

The pregnancy had gone smoothly; however, the labor had come with a high risk. Dinah had nearly died from the blood loss, and he knew there was no way he would be able to live in this world without her.

She was the love of his life, and he would do anything to keep her.
