“Now, fire!”
Purple glitter rained through the air and she laughed as she twirled, trying to catch it. When she finally grew still, she saw Hack kneeling in front of her.
There was a huge smile on his face and he held up a box with a ring in it. She couldn’t see the ring or anyone around her as they all quieted.
All she could see was him.
“Greer Emily Savage—”
“Hey, who told you my middle name?”
He smiled. “That doesn’t matter right now.”
“Oh, yeah. Continue.” She waved her hand in the air.
“I love you more than anything on this earth. You’re the first thing I think of when I get up in the morning and the last thing I want to see before I go to sleep. You’re my world and I want to tie you to me in every way possible. So, you will marry me.”
“Hack!” Livvy protested. “That’s not a proposal.”
She just grinned. Maybe not, but it was a Hack proposal.
“Well, you’re very fossy. That means he’s fussy and bossy,” she told everyone. “And you’re a possessive caveman. But you’re also the man I love and want to spend my life with. So even though you didn’t ask, yes, I’ll marry you.”
He stood and picked her up, twirling her as another set of glitter cannons went off. And then there were loud shouts and she glanced around with a laugh as the other Littles all pelted their Daddies with the glitter bombs that Hack snuck to them.
“Hack!” Duke yelled. “You’re a dead man!”
“Baby, save me!” Picking her up, he put her in front of him as he backed away from the others. They were giving him mock-glares, or trying to. The smiles on their faces said it all. He drew her around the side of the house, pressing her against it before he kissed her.
Hard. Fast. And hungry.
“I can’t believe you proposed in a sea of glitter.”
“Did you really expect me to propose any other way?”
“Lord. No.”
“You’re going to be finding glitter in strange places for days to come.”
“Totally worth it.”
