Carefully, I lifted her off me and set her aside, then bolted into the bathroom to find another condom in my toiletry bag. I put it on right then and there—I was already close as fuck to exploding, and I did not take those kinds of chances.

Rushing back into the bedroom, I made a flying leap onto the bed, and she laughed as I sprawled out above her. Positioning my cock between her thighs, I crushed my mouth to hers, and the laughter turned into a moan.

“Oh God.” Her hands clutched my back. “I never knew it could be this good. I never knew I could want this so much.”

“What do you want?” I demanded, sliding in slow and deep. “Tell me.”

“I want—I want you to fuck me,” she blurted, like her own words surprised her.

“Keep talking, cupcake.” I spoke low in her ear. “Tell me every filthy little thing.”

“I want your cock,” she whispered. “I want you to make me come again.”

“You want to come on my cock?” I growled, driving harder and faster at the angle I knew she liked.

“Yes—” She struggled to speak, her hands on my ass now, pulling me in deep. “Yes—and I want—to feel you—come with me—come with me—come with me—come—” Her words dissolved into one long sigh as she came undone beneath me. As her body contracted around me, I groaned long and hard, powering through an orgasm that thundered through my core and zipped along my limbs before ricocheting back again in hot, throbbing bursts.

And maybe it was because I hadn’t had sex in months, maybe it was knowing I was the first guy to make her come like this, or maybe it was the thrill of a fucking hat trick—thank you very much—but it was the most intense climax I’d had in a long time. So intense that I didn’t even want to move afterward.

Eventually, she tapped my back. “Joe?”

“Huh?”

“You’re kinda heavy.”

“Oh!” I lifted my chest off her. “Sorry.”

“That’s okay.” She inhaled deeply. “I just needed a little air.”

“Yeah. Me too.” I ran a hand through my hair. My heart was beating ridiculously fast. “Be right back.”

Inside the bathroom, I disposed of the condom and washed my hands. When I came out, she was sitting on the bed with the sheet pulled up to her waist. Her hair was a mess, her mouth was pink around the edges, and her eye makeup was smudged. She gave me a little smile that made her dimple appear. Somehow she managed to look innocent and sultry at the same time.

I had that urge again, the one that made me want to wrap her in my arms and keep her close until sunrise.

The fleeting thought brought me to my senses. “What time is it anyway?”

She looked at the clock on the bedside table. “Going on two.”

“I should get you home,” I said.

“Oh. Okay, sure.” She sounded slightly surprised but popped right off the bed and began hunting around for her clothes.

“I have to get up early,” I said, feeling like I owed her an explanation. “I want to get a workout in before the wedding party brunch. Also, I’m terrible to share a bed with. I take up all the space.”

“Is that on your list of flaws?” Finding her underwear on the floor, she tugged it on.

It took me a second to realize she meant the list of boyfriend flaws I’d mentioned earlier. “Definitely. In fact, hates to cuddle might be number one on the list. Or maybe, doesn’t listen. Or, only loves hockey.”

She laughed as she scooped up her dress and purse, holding them in front of her chest as she hurried into the bathroom. “I just need a minute. Be right out.”

Going over to my bag, I rooted around for something to wear and threw on jeans and a T-shirt. I was sitting at the end of the bed tying the laces on my sneakers when she came out of the bathroom. Her hair was smoother, her eye makeup was cleaned up, and she was wearing her dress, although she was holding it together in the back.

I rose to my feet. “Need me to zip you up?”

“Yes, please.” She turned around. “Thank you.”

After completing the task, I grabbed my wallet and car key. “Ready?”

“Yes.” She located her shoes, picked them up, and let them dangle off her fingers. “But would it be awful to walk out of here in bare feet? These shoes are pretty, but they hurt.”

“Tell you what—since I made you keep them on longer than necessary, I’ll give you a piggyback ride out of here.”

She giggled. “I did not mind keeping them on longer for you, since I couldn’t even feel my feet at that point, but I’ll take you up on that offer.”

I turned around. “Hop on.”

A moment later, she jumped onto my back, and I hooked my arms beneath her legs. Her arms looped around my neck. “Ready.”
