“I can’t wait to see New York!” he said, putting his sunglasses on. In the knee-length shorts and a pink T-shirt, he couldn’t have looked more relaxed.
“I can’t want to see you in New York. I suppose we both win,” Caspian said and squeezed Gunner’s hand as soon as they both sat in the car.
Gunner gave him a toothy smile. “You make my dreams come true.”
Caspian grinned. “This whole life is a dream. But we’re not gonna wake up.”
The following hour passed on listening to Gunner’s favorite playlist of classical music remixes, but when Caspian’s gaze briefly focused on his husband’s pink fingertips, his mind was taken right back to the quickie they’d had just before leaving.
“Fuck! The paper.”
Gunner pushed his shades down his nose, and Caspian groaned.
“The paper where you wrote ‘Caspian has the hardest dick’ a hundred times. We left it on the desk.”
Gunner started laughing so hard tears glistened in his eyes. “Oopsie.”
