“Yeah, fine. Just thinking.” I’d sent Archer a text earlier, and I was waiting to hear back from him, which was something else that had me on edge.

“I probably don’t want to know, do I?”

“Not unless you want to talk about how great a lay Marcus is,” I teased, making Declan shake his head at me. It was all in good fun.

Declan looked over my shoulder and said, “Speak of the devil.”

My heart did this strange acceleration thing for no reason as I turned around and saw Marcus come into the bar. It was a weeknight, so we weren’t incredibly busy, but he definitely grabbed everyone’s attention as he walked by. It was impossible not to notice Marcus, and clearly, I wasn’t the only one who saw that.

He smiled. I pretended to swoon, and he quirked a brow the way he was known for doing before the edges of his lips curled up again.

“Holy shit,” Declan said. “Corbin was right. I thought he was just being Corb.”

What the fuck? Had Corbin immediately called Declan and Parker to tell them his insane hypothesis about Marcus and me? But as Marcus slid onto one of the stools, looking sexy and completely irresistible, I suddenly didn’t care what Corbin had said.

“Hey, baby.” I leaned over the counter. “So you really showed.”

“I always do what I say I’m going to do.”

“I have a feeling I’m not gonna like this,” Declan added, and Marcus looked at him, giving Dec his attention.

“Gonna need your office.”

“Again? What the fuck, Marcus. I hate this. It’s weird.” Declan stalked away, and the two of us chuckled.

“Hey, baby boy,” Marcus said to me.

God, I loved it when he called me that. Why was it the sexiest thing I’d ever heard? “You had a lot of attention when you came in.”

“You have a lot of attention all the time. Am I going to have to show everyone in the bar tonight that you’re mine?”

Oh, so he wanted to play that game. I was down for sure. “Maybe.” I winked. “I should get to work.”

I felt his gaze on me as I went to a group of guys. “Can I get you boys anything else?”

“You?” one of them joked. The other nudged him like he was embarrassed.

“Sorry. My friend is an idiot.”

“It’s okay, but I’m going to have to pass. He’s my boyfriend.” I pointed to Marcus, lying my ass off about who he was.

“Fuuuuuck. He’s hot,” the first guy said. “Threesome?”

“Nope. He likes to keep me all to himself. Drinks?”

I got a playful groan in return, someone called Marcus a lucky man, then me the same, which was definitely true. They didn’t want anything more at the moment, so I made my rounds, playfully flirting but shooting glances at Marcus and making sure everyone knew I was his.

This game wasn’t something I would’ve ever considered before, but I had to admit, it was hot. It clearly turned Marcus on to watch people want me and then claim me for himself. It made me feel wanted in a way I hadn’t known I needed.

I headed back to the counter a little while later. Declan was busy with customers, and a new guy was sitting beside Marcus.

“He’s fine, isn’t he?” I heard Marcus say. For a moment, I thought he was talking to me about someone else, but his voice had been too low. When I turned to glance his way, I saw he was speaking to the guy.

“Fuck yes,” he replied.

“I saw you watching him.”

“Me and half the guys in here,” the guy answered. I kept my back to them.

“Yeah, I noticed that too.”

“There’s also no doubt in my mind he’s spoken for, unless you guys play?”

I turned when the guy finished speaking. I looked at Marcus, whose intense gaze was on me.

“Nah. I don’t mind if you look, if you admire, but I don’t share what’s mine,” he replied, and damned if that didn’t send fire scorching up my spine.

“I don’t share what’s mine either,” I added.

Before I realized what was happening, Marcus shoved to his feet, came around the counter, and picked me up, slinging me over his shoulder and making me laugh.

“Jesus Christ, Marcus,” I heard Declan say, but he wore a supportive smile as Marcus apologized to him, then carried me to the back room.

The second I was on my feet, he tugged at my jeans until he’d pulled them down, and then bent me over Declan’s desk. Lubed fingers pierced me, and then it was his slick, condom-covered cock pushing into my hole.

Marcus fucked me until I nearly lost my head, spurting my load all over my boss’s desk, which I totally shouldn’t be doing.

“Get back in me!” I said when he pulled out, but Marcus just ripped the condom off, came all over my ass, then rubbed it in again.
