“No. What has she done now?” I take a deep breath, waiting for him to drop the bomb on me. Jordan and I are thirteen months apart, and our baby sister came along sixteen years later.

“I can’t find her. She isn’t answering her phone, and no one has heard from her in two fucking days.” I mentally count back and realize it’s been four days since I last talked to her. Fucking hell.

“Have you contacted Hollie to see if she’s heard from Gabbi?” Our sister’s best friend usually knows all the details of the trouble our sister is causing.

There’s a long pause before my brother answers. “She doesn’t, and Atlas Jacks missed the goddamn game in New Mexico last night,” he adds, and I wonder what the fuck one of the hockey players has to do with our little sister. “I’ve heard a rumor floating around that he’s with Gabbi. If that motherfucker touches Half Pint, I’m going to make sure they never find his goddamn body.”

Oh, hell fucking no. I don’t have time to deal with this shit while I’m trying to woo my goddamn soulmate. “Do we need to hire Giant Carmichael to look for Gabbi?” The Silver Spoon MC member owns one of the best security firms in the country. I use his company for all my security and background needs and trust the huge asshole completely.

“Give me until tomorrow to check into things. I’ll call Giant if we don’t find her.” It kills me to wait, but I trust Jordan to handle it.

Chapter 7

Raven

Oh, wow. Mr. Greek laid one heck of a kiss on me. An hour after he leaves, I’m still tingling from the top of my head all the way down to my toes. I tried to take a cool shower, but that didn’t help at all.

When my phone rings, I welcome the diversion and answer it. “I want all the juicy details.” Thank God, it’s Candy.

I cross my fingers and lie to my best friend. “I already told you there wouldn’t be any juicy details. I went in there, negotiated the contract with Sp*nked, and got out.” Okay. That’s a very watered-down version of the story, but I don’t want to jinx what’s happening between me and Roman. I’ll tell my best friend about everything when I get home.

“Uh-huh,” she grumbles. “Are you crossing your fingers right now?” Shoot. She knows me too well.

“Yes,” I admit and hear her sigh on the other side of the line. “But I’ll tell you everything when I get home.”

My best friend also knows when to stop pushing me. “I’m totally going to hold you to it.”

“Okay. Now, tell me about the band. Is Riley August as hot in person as he is in pictures?”

“The entire band is hot.” And they had absolutely no effect on my blood pressure whatsoever. Unlike Mr. Greek God.

Once I break the news to my best friend that I won’t be home until Thursday or Friday, I hang up and head to bed. Unfortunately, I end up tossing and turning most of the night.

As the sun rises, I pull the covers over my head, attempting to ignore the light peaking in the drapes and will myself to fall asleep. At seven-fifteen, I give up and crawl out of bed. Maybe a hot shower and a strong cup of coffee will perk me up. I somehow manage to figure out the in-room coffee maker and brew a cup of coffee. It’s one step above tolerable but I’m desperate.

I’m pulling on my yoga pants when there’s a knock at the door, and I wonder who could be here at seven forty-five in the morning. I open the door and my mouth falls open when I find an equally exhausted-looking Mr. Greek God standing at my door. I’m pretty sure the dark circles under his eyes are worse than mine.

“What are you doing here?” I wince as the words burst past my lips. Ouch. I’m a little grouchy before I’ve had my caffeine.

Roman ignores my grumpy attitude and steps into the hotel room and kicks the door closed. “I missed you too much to wait another ten hours to see you,” he whispers against my lips before kissing me to within an inch of my life. I melt against his tall, muscular body and fall into the kiss. When he finally pulls back and lays his forehead against mine, I draw in several deep breaths, attempting to gain control of the lust roaring through me. “I thought I’d see if you’d have breakfast with me and put me out of my misery.”

“Okay. I just need a few minutes to finish getting ready.” I rush to the bathroom to pull up my hair and slap on some tinted moisturizer. Stepping out of the bathroom, I find Roman sitting on the edge of my messy bed, scrolling through his phone.
