Fuck yeah, Scott “had this.” Had this bigger than shit. Those bastards wouldn’t know what hit them.
Max smirked. “Wish I could watch.”
Scott’s lips curved. “I’ll make you proud.”
“My friend,” Max grinned, “you always fucking do.”

Sean stopped in front of Max’s classroom and stared at the door. His classes had ended for the day, but Max still had one more that started in ten minutes. Sean knew this because it was the class he’d modeled for. Fingers crossed that Max wouldn’t mind him dropping by.
Sean straightened his beanie. Hiked his small backpack’s drawstring higher up his shoulder. Cupped his hand in front of his mouth and exhaled. No cigarette breath, thanks to his lifesavers. Although, in his defense, Sean was trying to quit smoking. Had started the weaning process two days ago actually. First thing Wednesday morning, after his and Max’s playdate.
But that shit wasn’t easy. In fact, it sucked balls. But at least now he was down to three a day. One in the morning before his classes. One when they were finished as a “reward.” And one at night on his way home from work. Which meant no more break time smokes with Ledger. The guy hadn’t been too pleased about that, but luckily after Sean broke the news, some fangirls came and swept the guy away.
Sean smiled. Who knew, maybe in a few days he’ll have quit completely and could surprise Max at their next appointment. The prospect excited him. He hadn’t forgotten what Max had said. That if Sean quit as a gift it’d please him immensely, and when he’s pleased he was also very generous. Sean’s dick stirred at the possibilities of what that might entail. Shit. Better stop thinking about it. He didn’t want to jinx himself. The weekend was going to be hard enough to get through as it was.
Straightening his beanie again, Sean tucked a lock behind his ear. Because he’d worn his hair down today. Intentionally. For Max. He knew the guy liked it down, and was hoping on some level that it’d sway Max’s decision to do Sean a favor. Help him out with another school project. Sean had gotten the assignment this week. And truth be told, he was anxious to get started. Hopefully, if all went according to plan, his finished product would end up serving two purposes. One being yet another surprise for Max. This one would be much further down the road, though.
Grabbing the doorknob, he gave it a twist, really hoping Max wouldn’t mind his visit. After all, and like always, at the end of their last session, Max had all but dropkicked Sean’s ass out the door. Which was the last time Sean had seen him. Not exactly the warmest goodbye, but whatever. That was Max. Whom some might consider cold. To Sean, though, it was all about perspective. Max wasn’t mean cold. Max was yummy cold. Like a great big lickable snow cone.
Grinning, Sean pushed open the door and peered inside. Max was doing paperwork over at his desk.
Sean cleared his throat. “Knock, knock.”
Max looked up. Stilled. Then frowned. “Sean. What are you doing here?”
Sean smiled. “Was in the neighborhood.”
“Clearly,” Max muttered. “What do you need.”
Sean’s optimism faltered. Was Max pissed? So hard to tell. “Um. I wanted to ask you a favor.”
Max stood, features tight, and made his way over. When he arrived, he crossed his arms and stared Sean down. “What’s your favor. Hurry Up. I’ve got class.”
“Wow,” Sean chuckled. “Nice to see you, too.”
Max pursed his lips. “I’m waiting.”
Sean stared at him, then smirked. “Somebody’s cranky.”
Max’s jaw ticked. “Sean.”
“Okay, okay, Mr. Sunny-Side-Down.”
Did Max’s lips just twitch? Ha. Take that, tough façade.
“I got a new assignment this week, and I was hoping to use your class as my subject.”
Max fortified his frown. “Elaborate.”
Sean opened his mouth, but then paused and tilted his head. “Is that tiring?”
“Is what tiring?”
“Being so broody all the time?” Sean grinned, unable to help it.
Max glowered. “Not answering that.”
Sean laughed. “That means yes.”
Max’s lips did twitch that time. “Sean. Fucking focus.”
“Right, right.” Sean nodded and straightened his beanie. “Well, there’s really not much to it. I’d just be taking a bunch of impromptu shots. All you guys would have to do is forget I’m there.”
Max stared at him pensively, as if debating his answer.
Sean gave him a pretty-please smile.
“Fine,” Max grunted. “Under one condition.”
“Condition?” Sean’s grin waned.
Max’s lips curved. “Uh-huh.”
“Um. Okay. I think. What condition?”
“That after class you stick around for your punishment.”
Sean stilled. He hadn’t exactly seen that one coming. “Punishment for what?”
“For stopping by unannounced. That shit’s rude, Sean. Bad manners.”
Fuck. Max was pissed. Sean shifted his weight. “Oh. Okay. Um… What’d you have in mind?”
Max’s smirk spread wider. “You’ll have to wait and see.”
Aw, shit. That sounded ominous. And really fucking hot.
