“You think you’ve seen the depth of my need, Sophia,” he said, his voice a rumble that resonated deep within me. “But you haven’t. Not yet.”

I swallowed hard, my fingers curling into his chest like he was my anchor.

That’s because he is.

“What makes you think I don’t crave that, too?”

His chuckle was deep and rough and filled with satisfaction. “My good girl.”

The room seemed to close in around us, the charged silence swallowing everything else.

As his arms tightened around me, securing me to him, I knew there was no going back. But I didn’t want to. I was right where I needed to be.

EPILOGUE

LUCIAN

The following year

The snow fell in thick, silent flakes blanketing the mountains and ground that surrounded my home in a pristine white.

Through the wide windows of my home in the Alps, the world outside looked untouched. Beautiful. But not as gorgeous as the woman I now called my wife.

Sophia sat on the loveseat in front of the fire, a blanket wrapped around her shoulders and a glass of mulled wine cradled in her hands while she stared at the flames. She looked so at peace with the firelight dancing along her features and her guard completely lowered.

She was my everything.

The very sight of her filled me with such a sense of completion that it wasn't anything I could ever put into words.

She was mine. Entirely.

And every night, I made sure she knew it.

I made my way into our bedroom, grabbed the Krampus mask in one hand and a string of white, holiday lights in the other, and went back to my wife.

The soft sound of the fire crackling filled the great room, and for just a second, I stood there and watched her. She brought the thick throw closer to her chest and snuggled down deeper into the chair.

“Still cold?” I asked, my voice soft as I made my way toward her.

Sophia looked up, her gaze locking onto mine, her lips curving into a smile. It was the sweet kind of sight that told me she was on to me, even though I kept my hands—and the items I held—hidden behind my back.

She was perceptive and almost always knew when I was up to something.

“I’m okay,” she murmured, taking a slow sip of her wine. “But I could use some heating up if you have any ideas on how to make that happen?”

I looked at her left hand, the big diamond ring catching the firelight. The longer I stayed silent the more the tension between us thickened. I brought my hands out from behind my back and held up the mask, letting the lights dangle from my fingers. “I think I have a few ideas of how to help you out.” I slowly smiled.

Her breath caught, and I could see the way her pulse quickened at her throat. Gradually, deliberately, she set her glass down and rose from the chair, letting the blanket fall to the floor.

“Come closer, baby girl.”

Her smile turned wicked but submissive, and when she spoke, her voice was soft yet brimming with intent. “God, you’re so hot when you’re in dominant mode.”

That simple admission sent a rush of heat through me, and it was dark and deeply rooted. I dropped the lights onto the chair beside me and reached for her, pulling Sophia against my chest, my hold on her purely possessive.

She tilted her head and brushed her lips against mine. It was the faintest of touches, and when she whispered, “What do you want with me, Daddy?” the breath was sucked from my very lungs.

The fire crackled beside us as I gave her one deep, thorough kiss, then pulled away to slip the mask over my face. I wanted her to remember—to take within herself—the darkness and total consumption we shared.

Her breaths came harder and faster as she stared into my glowing red eyes, and when she gripped my shirt, pulling me closer, I vowed I was going to make her mine… again.

From the moment I met Sophia, I knew she was special. I knew I would never want anyone but her.

There was no turning back for either of us. We were bound together. Forever.

I stepped back, the holiday lights still in my hand, taking a seat on the loveseat and relaxed against the cushion, spreading my legs slightly so she had room to do what I wanted.

“Be a good girl and get undressed for me,” I said, my voice muffled by the mask. “And then come sit on my lap.” I patted my thigh, smiling beneath the mask even though she couldn't see me. She swayed as if dizzied from my words.

She moved closer, doing what I said.

She knew who and what I was and how deep and depraved my desires went. Yet, my good little girl acted shy every single time. I laughed gruffly, a chuckle that had Sophia clenching her thighs together.
