“Good girl. Again.”
She released it and drew in another one.
“There’s my girl. Keep breathing.”
The pain began to dull. It was tolerable now that she knew what to expect every few seconds. She wouldn’t describe it as addictive though. She couldn’t imagine ever wanting to do this again.
She was so grateful to her Daddy for not just being here and holding her hand, but distracting her with his amazing smile for the entire time. There was no way she could have done this without him. She would have run out the door screaming at the first touch of the inking needle.
In less time than she’d expected, she heard Tatiana suddenly declare, “Done.”
“Really?” Valerie’s entire body had been stiff, and she released the tight clench of every single muscle. “Does it look good, Daddy?” She was afraid to look yet.
“It’s perfect, Cupcake. A perfect cupcake just like my Little Cupcake.” He slid a hand under her head to help her lift her face.
She gasped when she saw it. “Oh, wow. That’s so pretty.” She grinned at both Tatiana and Grayson. “I love it.” She scrunched up her nose. “I’m sorry I was such a baby about it.”
Tatiana waved a hand dismissively through the air. “Oh, girl, you were not a baby. I’ve had grown men scream and change their minds. One man was here with his girlfriend to get her name tattooed and he only got the first letter before he called uncle. You barely flinched.”
Maybe Tatiana was exaggerating, but it made Valerie feel much better and less embarrassed about her reaction. “Thank you.”
“My pleasure. Any time.” Tatiana carefully covered the tattoo with clear plastic. She rattled off care instructions while she worked, but Valerie hoped Grayson was listening because she couldn’t focus. She was completely mesmerized with staring at her first tattoo.
Grayson helped her sit up taller.
Tatiana pointed at the jeans. “You shouldn’t wear tight pants or jeans for about two weeks. If you’re going straight home, I’d leave them unzipped and unbuttoned until you get there and then change into loose leggings or something that won’t rub that area.”
“Oh.” Valerie glanced at Grayson. She tried not to pout. She’d been looking forward to the zoo.
“It’s okay, Cupcake. We’ll swing by the house, get you changed, and go back out.” He stroked her temple. “Unless you don’t want to.”
“I want to go to the zoo still, Daddy,” she whispered. She was shocked by how Little she’d allowed herself to be in front of Tatiana. It felt so natural since the other woman was clearly also Little.
“Then that’s what we’ll do. It’s your birthday.” He helped her stand, left her panties down low on her hips, and eased her jeans up without zipping them or buttoning. He pulled her shirt over the top. It was long enough to hide her until they could get to the car right out front.
When they got to the cash register, Grayson pulled out his wallet.
“You don’t have to pay. It was my idea.”
He grinned at her. “My treat, birthday girl.”
She kept her hands in front of her to be sure no one would notice her open jeans. Luckily there were no other customers in the shop.
“I’m so happy for you,” Tatiana declared. “You’re so sweet and fun. Maybe someday we could have a play date?”
Valerie’s jaw dropped. “You mean it?”
“Of course. It would be fun.”
Maniac came up behind her and set a hand on her shoulder. “What are you plotting out here, Rainbow?”
“I’m not plotting, Daddy. I was telling Valerie we should have a play date. Maybe you could get Grayson’s number and set it up for us?” She batted her eyes at her Daddy.
Maniac smiled at her indulgently, but he pulled his card out of a tray on the counter and handed it to Grayson, chuckling. “My sneaky Little girl thinks if she makes it seem like I’m the one arranging things that she didn’t do anything naughty.”
Grayson took the card. “I’ll text you right away. It would be nice for Valerie to have someone to talk to. She hasn’t explored her Little side with other people before.”
“Then we should set up a time,” Maniac agreed.
“I’ll see you soon,” Valerie called out as Grayson led her out of the shop.
He quickly maneuvered her to the car without anyone noticing. After he pulled the seatbelt across her lap, he instructed, “Hold the belt away from your tattoo, Baby girl. Daddy will drive extra carefully.”
In no time at all they were back at her house. Grayson helped her get inside, and led her down the hallway. “Which room is the master bedroom, Cupcake?”
“On the left,” she told him.
He led her inside and headed for the dresser. “Where do you keep your looser leggings, Baby girl?”
“In the third drawer.” She held her breath as he opened the drawer and found a pair of black leggings that would be perfect.
