That Monday as soon as we’d reached the school yard the whispers started. It wasn’t long before we heard the whole story of Mandy being dropped off there, naked, high and covered in spunk.
Liz who, had apparently downloaded the video of Mandy’s little drug party had put it on the net, and now the whole school had seen the girl who’d reigned supreme over them for years at her worst.
I had nothing to do with that part of it, but I can’t say that I care. In the end I just used Mandy the way she used everyone around her. But instead of using her for gain, I just used her own tactics against her.
I know her well enough, had studied her enough to almost guest her moves as they came. It helped that I had eyes on her and had infiltrated her inner circle without her knowing it.
From the moment I realized the cops weren’t going to do their jobs since they were too busy looking at me, I had started setting things in motion.
I’m pretty sure one of my security team knows what happened, how she came to be in possession of the principal’s car, but I was holding onto that information for now. I’ll see if I’m going to let him come forward in the future or if I might have to keep it hidden if they let her off for setting Sian up to be killed.
I wasn’t expecting that of course, not as long as I get my hands on Stanley. But if he stayed gone she was going to pay for that shit with this until he showed up. One crime or another it didn’t matter to me, but I’d prefer that she paid for the shit she actually did.

“Jace hold up, I forgot something in my locker.” We were leaving after hanging around for Cassie to finish practice. I wanted to grump that Alex was there so we didn’t need to be but she would’ve given me hell so I left it alone. She was already griping that she couldn’t practice herself.
I let her pull her hand out of mine and watched her run back into the building. “You guys go ahead I’ma follow her inside…” I didn’t think anything of it. I mean what could possibly happen? I was right here and I had enough men on the place that there was no way anyone was going to get to her.
Then I heard her scream and started moving before the thought got settled in my head. I hit the door running and headed towards the lockers all the way at the other end of the hall with my heart in my lungs.
I came up short and my life flashed before my eyes. I wanted to scream in rage but held myself in check. I couldn’t show any weakness or I’d lose. I know his thoughts what makes him tick, that’s why I have to stay calm and throw him off.
“Oh, it’s you. What hole did you crawl out of?” He sneered but said nothing, just squeezed his arm tighter around her neck. Don’t be scared baby I’m right here.
How the fuck did he get in here? He looked rough, like he’d been living in the woods since he disappeared. There was no sign of the teenage boy that he used to be. He’d aged since the last time I saw him.
His hair and clothes were a mess, but it was his eyes that I was more worried about. After that one quick glance to assess the situation, I focused on her, on the fear in her eyes as he held his hand around her neck in a chokehold.
I didn’t have a weapon, and if I moved all he had to do was snap his hand the wrong way and she’d be gone. I didn’t let myself feel anything. Not anger, not fear, nothing. I couldn’t afford to.
“So, it’s come to this.” I paced around in a circle like I didn’t have a care in the world.
“You don’t come any closer.” I didn’t look up, just kept pacing in that circle. He was so busy watching me pace he didn’t see my press the button on my phone in my pocket.
“I knew I’d get you, get you both.”
“I know why you hate me but why her? What’s she ever done to you?”
“She was just another one, that chose you over me. Just like that Mandy bitch. But I fucked her and now I’m gonna fuck this bitch too.”
I didn’t say shit else to him, what was there to say? I only had one interest, getting her away from him. The fuck was taking him so long?
I saw the movement behind him and didn’t flinch, but before Track, who was moving up behind him, or I had a chance to act, she made her body go limp and slipped out of his hold.
