Her fat ass comes into view. My pulse goes through the roof. The swimsuit is a thong. All that ass is on display for me.
“Damn,” I breathe.
She pushes off the glass and dances over to the pole in the center of the room. Then she dances around it, keeping me mesmerized. I’m not expecting any of what happens next.
The way she mounts the pole and flips her body, then slides down and climbs up again, has me ready to break this glass and I don’t think I’d need my hands to do so. It’s not the outfit, the body, or the dancing. It’s the newfound confidence that does it for me.
By the time she ends in a split with a triumphant smile on her lips, I know, without question, she’s found a bit of herself again. I can’t wait for her to introduce me to the goddess she’s found within.
She gets up and struts over to snatch up her robe and saunters out of the room like a boss—ass giggling, hips swaying. That’s my baby.
Chapter 49
Adventurous Love
Shawna
A week later…
I was so excited when Josh asked me to come with him and the kids to Bali. It’s one of the places on that list I texted to him all those years ago. I can’t wait to get my camera out and see it all through my lens.
“This place is so pretty,” Vernice says as we all walk into the resort we’re staying in for the next three weeks.
“Come, Miss Vernice. We’ll wait over here,” Rosy, the children’s nanny, says.
“She’s right. This place is breathtaking,” I say to Josh as he leads me over to the desk with a hand on the small of my back.
He looks down at me. “You haven’t seen anything yet.”
I suck my lip into my mouth and look away from the heated look he’s giving me. Something changed about a week ago. There’s this sexual tension that wasn’t there before. Yes, we’ve had chemistry and I know he’s attracted to me.
It’s just whereas I couldn’t get him to get physical before, I’ve noticed when we do get to go on dates, he’s been almost restraining himself from devouring me. Then he asked me on this trip. I’m hoping it’s so he can put out these flames building between us.
“The kids are so excited,” I say to change the subject.
“Yeah, this will be fun for them. I hope you guys can get to know each other more, but I’m looking forward to our week alone just as much,” he says against my temple.
In three weeks, the children will be on their way back to Vander while Josh and I spend our final week at the Hanging Gardens Munduk. I have so many emotions running through me. It’s like I’ve fallen into someone else’s life.
It’s not the money or the trips. I’m used to all of that. It’s the romance of it all. I never thought going with a guy on a trip with his three wards could be so romantic, but Josh has made it so from the start.
The car that picked me up with flowers and a love note resting on the seat. The romantic breakfast we shared on the flight while the kids were on their e-readers or laptops. It all shows he’s putting in an effort to bring me into his world.
“Here you go, Mr. Nikolaou. Please enjoy your stay.”
“Thank you. Will our transportation be ready for this afternoon?”
“Of course. Everything is all set, and the children can join camp once they are settled. Their spa treatments are set for this evening.”
I smile. Vernice did nothing but talk about the nature camp and True has been talking about his seaweed wrap since we left Vander. I love that Josh has planned things out not just for the kids to have fun but for them to enjoy the luxuries of a trip like this.
“Thanks. Come on, baby. Let’s get showered and ready for our first day here.”

“You like my swimsuit, J?” Vernice asks as she runs out to the pool where I’ve been standing, staring out at the ocean view.
I turn and look down. She has a huge toothless smile on her face. I had her hair done before this trip and she insisted on getting clear-pink beads. They look adorable on her. The pink swimsuit is cute too, with its hearts and stars.
“Téleio, panémorfo,” I say in Greek.
“Efcharistó,” she replies, her smile growing.
“You’re welcome. That was perfect.” I hold up a hand to give her a high five.
I’ve been teaching them all Greek and had the tutors add it to their lessons. Vernice is catching on fast. Not that True and Cat can’t understand me and reply. Vernice just seems to be taking to conversations faster.
I look down at my watch as True, Cat, and Rosy all come out to join Vernice at the pool. We should be leaving soon. I’m already sweating.
