Definitely a valid reason.

I slumped down on the edge of the bed, and Lucian immediately got down on one knee to help me with my braces. I’d put them on in a rush, outside my sweats.

“Daddy?” Noa asked with his mouth full of food.

“Yeah?”

“Can you fuck Master Dean next time? Or let him fuck you?”

I grinned as Lucian’s head snapped up, and he narrowed his eyes at me.

“I don’t think either of those is going to happen,” I replied.

“But whyyyyy?” he complained.

“Jeesh, chew and swallow before you talk,” Cam grated. “You’re spraying crumbs all over.”

“Good thing I’m on your side of the bed,” Noa quipped.

“Noa,” I chastised.

Lucian rose to his feet and swooped in for a hungry kiss, and I shivered and cupped his cheek.

“Mine,” he whispered.

“Yours.” Fuck, that felt good.

I couldn’t describe it.

I watched him round the bed to their side, and then I sighed contentedly and got comfortable next to Noa. It was time to inspect and treat the marks on his little bottom.

I wasn’t particularly hungry yet anyway, so I snatched up the aftercare kit and dug out the ointment.

Cam asked to watch a movie, and he handed Lucian the remote, claiming the TV up here was difficult. And Cam was supposed to be our little tech genius. We’d bought the extra TV around Christmas, and a week later, he’d given up.

Lucian didn’t mind helping him, though. Like a good Daddy Master.

I wasn’t sure if he saw his own changes, but I sure did.

Noa finished his sandwich and drank half a soda, then promptly burped and laughed at himself. Easily amused, that one. Then again, so was I. I’d probably never tire of his antics, regardless of…maturity level.

“Come give Daddy your sweet butt.” I patted the spot next to me.

He beamed and flung himself at me, giggling up a storm in the process, and it filled my heart with happiness.

A moment of seclusion would be nice. Lucian and Cam got lost in their cuddles and some boring British drama anyway, so I had my little freckles to myself. His head landed on the pillow, and he twisted his body for me. I needed total access to that bottom.

“Did you have fun today, baby?” I dropped a soft kiss to his butt cheek before I applied some ointment. It melted upon skin contact but still managed to feel cooling, according to the boys.

Noa let out a happy sigh and closed his eyes. “Very. Especially after the nap. Yeah.”

Of course. After the nap.

I rubbed the oil into his skin in gentle strokes.

“I don’t want there to be anything hanging over our heads,” he said quietly.

That made me look up at him, and I found him watching me.

“I gotta talk to my mom,” he whispered.

I swallowed and nodded once. I was going to do everything in my power to handle that talk for him. Christine could say whatever the fuck she wanted to me, as long as Noa didn’t hear it.

She could be extremely unfair to him, and it infuriated me every time.

“We’ll decide a day tomorrow. How’s that?”

He nodded against the pillow and wriggled his bottom. “Can you blow on my booty?”

I chuckled under my breath and scooped up more oil. “Of course.”

As the oil melted, I blew cool air across his bruised skin in soft puffs, causing him to shiver and squirm. Same reaction every time. This was undoubtedly his favorite part of aftercare. When Daddy blew on his little booty.

“Ohhhhh, that feels so good,” Noa groaned. “If you do it over my opening, is that a blowhole?”

I coughed—hell, so did Lucian too, and we couldn’t help but laugh.

Cam tossed us a wry smirk. “Air has to come out of the hole for that.”

Oh, for the—

“Cam,” Lucian groaned.

Noa clenched his butt, gearing up to make a stink, and I’d never moved away from him faster.

CHAPTER 10

Back then

Lucian Leroux

“We’re gonna have to schedule that in after I come back from Germany, Bill,” I said, trapping the phone between my shoulder and cheek. “Speaking of which, I need your two cents on the Frankfurt people. It’ll be my first ride with international bankers, and I’ve heard they’re in a league all on their own.”

I could admit I was a little nervous, all while I could not be more determined. My first promotion at Turner and Gamble—I wasn’t gonna fuck this up. I finally had my own office, an actual assistant, and—

He wasn’t doing his job if I just heard three sharp knocks on the door.

A beat later, KC barged in, with my assistant in tow.

“I’m sorry, sir, he wouldn’t wait.”

Goddammit. Something had to be very wrong for KC to storm in here. I had to cut Bill off, from a ramble of advice I sorely needed, and I gave a dismissive wave to Ola, who left hurriedly and closed the door.
