When reality came back to me, I was wrapped up in a blanket and snuggled between my mates. They were so sweet but they were going to roast me alive. “Mmm, kisses and hugs. I need my mates.”

Opening my eyes was hard but it was worth it to see them smiling down at me…and getting hugs pushed the covers off enough that I knew I’d live. “I love you.”

They were both so insane but so wonderfully perfect I didn’t have the words to explain how they made me feel. So I just let my head fill back up with the incredible neon colors of my mates’ love and tried to show them how amazing they were.

Daddy kissed me, eyes sparkling with unshed tears. “I love you too. Both of you.”

Master glared, love filling his eyes. “Nothing will ever change how much I love you both.”

No one would ever have mates as wonderful as mine. I had my Daddy and my Master. My dragon and my mage. My strong center to keep me grounded and my storm to help me fly.

I had my mates.

Epilogue

Lorne

“I think I lost something.” I wasn’t sure what but I was going to rip my dick out and orgasm in the middle of the diner if I didn’t figure it out soon.

Somehow my mates talked me into doing more stupid things than Kenzie ever had.

I hadn’t been able to tell my friends why I was so distracted but Kenzie had spent all of lunch mumbling stuff about privacy and telling himself he wasn’t going to ask if I was plugged or not.

So of course we’d spent several minutes trying to explain that my ass was not a bathroom drain and they served different purposes…people around our cute little town needed to get out more.

But Carrick was going to be happy I hadn’t talked about the spell he’d put on my balls.

Alick cleared his throat and was trying not to laugh. “It’s physically important in some way that we figure out what you lost, right?”

Humans were always so smart.

“Yes.” I tried not to wiggle but it was getting harder and harder to sit still. “Or I’ll be the one eating soup for a month…or maybe in jail. Does anyone know what our laws are on nudity?”

Alick started coughing like he’d swallowed his grilled cheese wrong but he stopped when Kenzie started being helpful. “Do we need the Hemlick? No, Heingart? Shoot. The choking thing?”

I was pretty sure it was the threat of Kenzie trying to save him that actually saved Alick. “No. I’m. I’m fine. Thank you.”

“I think it’s Heimlich.” Or something like that. “But he’s not dead, so let’s get back to the important issue at hand.”

My balls.

Alick was back to trying not to giggle and doing a terrible job of it, but he was smart and started listing off ideas. “Wallet? Phone? Library book? Library card? Did you buy something today?”

Hmm.

“Wait.” Patting myself down, I frowned and looked under the table. “I had a library book when I came in here. Where did it go?”

“No, you didn’t.” Stefan sighed as he finally found a part of the conversation he liked. “I would have noticed if you’d remembered to return a late book.”

He wouldn’t talk about butt plugs in the diner but he’d lecture anyone on being late with library books.

He was so weird.

“I had it when I left Carrick’s house.” He was so distracting, though, I could’ve left it anywhere. “He had a new watch. He’s killing me. It was so ugly and I don’t remember what I did with the book after that.”

I shouldn’t have let myself get distracted but it was so hard.

“First, call Carrick and see if the library book is in his house or in his front yard.” Alick grinned. “Then when you know where it is, whatever they did to you should stop.”

Thank the dragons above.

“I can’t tell you what they did.”

Alick, Kenzie, and Stefan all nodded in unison but it was Stefan that spoke. “Because it’s private and we respect privacy.”

“Bullshit.” I wasn’t sure who’d started grumbling at the back of the diner, but I ignored them.

No one appreciated Carrick’s stance on what was appropriate to share in public but Stefan. For some reason, Stefan liked it, but that might be a human thing.

He was weird, though.

“One second.” Closing my eyes, I brightened my link to Carrick and plucked the ribbon like he’d taught me. “There he is.”

“Do you have my library book? I set it down somewhere and now I have to come like crazy. If I end up eating nothing but soup at the diner for a month, I’m not going to be fit to live with. I’m not going to apologize either.”

Carrick’s laughter came through the bond first, but his answer wasn’t far behind.

“You left it in the living room. I was wondering how long it would take you to figure out what you’d lost.”
