“I love you so much,” she says when I pull back to look into her eyes.

“You have no idea how much I love you, baby,” I say as I thrust into her.

She gasps my name and throws her head back. This is it. This is the connection we’ve perfected. My skin hums with it. This is where I wanted to take us this morning.

She clings to my neck as I lift her from the crate and bounce her on my shaft. I’m so hard inside her. Her thick thighs have me wrapped in a warm embrace as her ass bounces with the force of our fucking.

She’s dripping wet for me. I turn my face to take her lips. She meets me with that sweet smile of hers, pulling grunts and groans from me as I pound into her.

I squeeze her fat ass as I readjust her weight on my forearms, then lock my hands beneath her to hold her up as I move in and out of her wet pussy. The sound of her creamy center battles with the music and my pants and groans.

“Fuck, yes, Josh, fuck, babe. Yes, yes,” she pants.

“There’s nothing I wouldn’t do for you, Shawna. I’ve got you, baby. I promise. I’ll fix it all. I promise I’m going to fix it all,” I breathe as I keep thrusting.

“I’m coming. I’m coming. Oh God, baby, I’m coming,” she screams as her cream covers me and drips down my balls.

I bury my face in her neck and roar as I spill into her. I inhale her sweet-smelling skin and calm washes through me. I can make us right.

I hold on to Joshua’s arm with a smile on my lips as we go to step out of the storeroom. However, that smile falls and dread settles in the pit of my stomach once he opens the door. Blake is waiting right outside with a scowl on his face.

“When were you going to tell me about the mess you left in your grandfather’s lap?” he bites out.

“I left nothing in his lap,” Joshua says curtly.

Blake snorts. “That’s not how it came back to me.”

“My wife and I were having a nice day in when we were interrupted by banging on our hotel room door. We know nothing about the drama they were interrogating everyone about.

“I let them know we heard nothing and would be returning to the States as our vacation had ended. I gave a number to reach me. See… nothing for Pappoús to worry about.

“I’m calling bullshit.”

I peek out into the hall to find Pit leaning with his head back against the wall, looking exhausted. He rubs his eyes and straightens. Joshua wraps his arm around my waist and tugs me into his side.

“Let me worry about that,” he snarls.

Pit holds his hands up. “Listen, I’m not butting into your business. I’m just telling you, almost everything that’s been happening to our circle involves us. Don’t think anything is isolated at this point,” Pit warns.

“In that case. You should know I was there that night. The night of the race. I had been there with friends.”

Pit’s brows shoot up into his hairline. “Why did I have a feeling you were going to say that? Come on, talk to me. Then you both can finish coming clean. Including what happened in Greece.”

I sigh. Joshua gives my waist a gentle squeeze. I think I’m going to be sick.

Chapter 26

Start with the Truth

“So you’re saying you watched the crash and followed Skittles after,” Pit repeats as I finish retelling that night from my experience.

“Yeah, I followed Ven once my friends jumped in their cars and ran. I was outside the place she went into, trying to get the nerve up to go inside. My mom would have killed me if she knew where I really was.

“I was supposed to be at a friend’s studying. One of my friends sent a text that the model Kelex was at the race, so we all hurried out to watch,” I explain.

“That means every single one of us was there that night. Now things are starting to make more sense,” Pit says.

“I’m glad it’s making sense to you. I still don’t see it,” Tak says.

“Someone’s trying to expose us,” Joshua speaks up. “Maybe if you all know more about me, we can connect the dots.”

“Why are you just now sharing? You know you can trust us,” Luke says.

“It’s not that simple,” Ox replies.

“He’s right. Vander, Bridge Lake, Pit, Ox, and I all have deeper ties than we could let on over the years. A lot had to fall into place. I had to hold my secrets close to the chest,” Joshua says.

“Is that why you haven’t told me you’re married to my cousin? I’ve been waiting. I want to hear it from one of you.
