“Yep, just showed up to make my ass miserable.” She snickered and went back to staring into the suitcase with the same shirt or dress in her hand.

I chose a Chanel suit dress in a blue almost dark enough to match her eyes with shoes to match, off white with the same blue at the toes and heels. I opened the vault that’s built into the closet and found her some of my great grandmother’s jewelry, namely a sapphire and diamond choker.

She kissed my cheek in thanks when I laid the clothes out on the bed but barely spared me a glance. I was a little surprised that she wasn’t spazzing about having lunch with dad, but I guess their phone conversations had put her at ease.

She took another shower before getting dressed while I waited downstairs, no point in tormenting myself. I’ve noticed that each time I watch her getting ready my dick gets hard as fuck and then she makes me wait until we get back home.

She hadn’t seen the necklace when I was up there since I’d just left it laying on top of her dress, but when she came down the stairs, her hand was playing with the center sapphire stone. “You look beautiful.” I took her hand as she said hello to the other two and we left.

Now my dad is a gentleman down to his core, but he has a mean streak a mile wide. This was brought home to me again when we walked in and was led to his table, where he and mom were already seated. That’s not the part that made me shake my head and give thanks that I wasn’t on his shit list. It’s who were sitting at the surrounding tables that did that.

Senators, congressmen, and some of the wealthiest men not only in the city, but the country. There were even a few foreign dignitaries in the place. Now some of these men I know are part of some secret society bullshit that goes back to their college days, so we’re talking over thirty years.

I didn’t go that route, my ‘Frat’ was right here in the room with me, Kev and Dave. But my dad, this fuck, had gathered all the old guard along with their wives and a few daughters and I already knew where this was going.

“Mom, dad!” Mom all but ignored me after lifting her cheek for a kiss from me and the guys, and focused all her attention on Giselle. As soon as we sat dad stood up and made the introductions. “Come here dear.” He held out his hand to her and she stood nervously and went around the table to him.

“May I have your attention please. This, is my daughter in law Giselle Sorrento. Some of you may already know her from her days as a professional model, isn’t she stunning?” He waited for the general agreement from the others in the room before carrying on. “Anyhow, I’ll expect the rest of you to look out for her as we do each other.” He said it with a smile but there was no mistaking his meaning.

The women were eyeing her, some with envy, some with open curiosity, and the men though not leering couldn’t hide their looks of appreciation as everyone greeted her. No matter what anyone thought though, the old man had just made it clear what he expected from them.

That’s why I don’t fuck with the old guard. These old men and women are stuck in the nineteen-fifties, an era when businessmen ran shit. Not to mention they were raised by men who’d taken down Hitler. Fuck if I’m messing with that shit.

By the time lunch was over everyone was coming to the table to meet her personally. The younger women were inviting her to lunch and other girly outings, the older ones going through mom to do this.

They have that old world class protocol shit down. Me, I just sat back and watched. Especially when dad got up and headed to a table with a group of his old cohorts and they put their heads together. Scary shit!

Gavin

She claimed to be exhausted as soon as we made it back home. I didn’t believe her, I thought she was just overwhelmed and hiding it, but imagine my surprise when she fell out as soon as her head hit the pillow and stayed down for a couple of hours.

The others had left to go to their own homes to pack for our trip so I was left alone after giving the staff the rest of the weekend off. I was tempted to call dad and ask him what he was up to, but figured if he wanted me to know he’d have told me. But I had a sneaky suspicion that the senator would soon find himself expelled from some of his favorite clubs for starters.
